I was Vijay prakash's neighbor in Mysore. His father Ramseshu was a great singer.His mom lopamudra also knew carnatic music well.God bless him.Great performance 🙏.

I was regularly participating in vid. Lakshmipathiji, lakshmi narasimha murthy Amd sorry immediately not recollecting, harikatha kalakshepa at kantharajurs totti and Patalanjaneya Hanumad jayanth in Ramanuja road mysore. I was holding Shruthi in most of the programmes. Ramasheshu ji in his younger days was filling the gaps in harikathe programme. I am 65. And whenever i see VP i recollect every moment of 1960s

Vijaya Prakash Avare; You are a personification of humility, Vidwath and great Indian (universal) Values. Your vision in Music is exemplary. It was frustrating that every Carnatic concert ended up with one or none songs composed by Purandara Dasaru, despite he is the Pitamaha of Carnatic Music. Even if they sing, no embelishments. no swaralapana or Tanas in Hindustani version. We have forgotten that we have come from Karnataka, which is the one and only state which developed both pillars of Indian classical Music and produced stalwarts in both. I am glad you and you are the only person who can raise the flag of Sangeetha, irrespective of the name given to it. SUR IS SURE, TAL IS TAL, NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALL!! He is simply great trained in both forms of classical music. His father was also a great carnatic music vidwan Late.Ramasesha L. Music runs in his blood.

Thanks to VP sir, I never thought that he can sing classical song to this level. Awesome!! Especially in alapane. He was enjoying like a hell. I Felt goddess Saraswathi was dancing when he was playing with the notes. Better to quit film permanently. Karnatic suits him well. Venkatachala nilyam so.... Sweet.

GOD IS SAYING - I will upheld divine music Do not worry.. When we all concerned about the future of classical music , God sent VP sir.. That too from the Divine musical place Mysore . The tradition will surely continue. I support VP sir singing for Movie songs .. We have seen how unsung heros of yesteryears did not shine as they were too traditional. Today we know VP sir because of film songs. It is feast to listen to his songs .. There is high likelihood of Classical music taking center stage due to these YOU TUBE channels. When that happens more and more people will take solace in classical music and move away from useless movie songs ..

What a beautiful performance! When he sang "Vithhala Vithhala Vitthala" it was so touching that I, who's generllay not a Vithhala-bhakta, started intensely weeping and the image of the Lord filled my mind's eye and I was uncontrollably rapt in bhakti. I was reminded of the scenes of great saints like Purandara Dasa and Chaithanya Mahaprabhu dancing in ecstasy! Definitely for me, the repetition of a single name of the Lord over and over again seems to have a great potency to arouse intense bhakti and tears of bliss, especially when combined with such beautiful music!

Because most of them are not even movie makers they just have money no knowledge or creative inclination towards refined art of film making. Mostly Kannada films today are Crass and Cacophonous. Just like our cities filthy and Chaotic. Karnataka Shashtriya! Anything Shasthriya is disrespected in the name of Socialism. The Indian Civilisation is dead.. its the rule of anarchy

This is the irony.. the measure of talent today is singing in front of USA audience in their house in front of Swimming pool . Why so many great artist go to US is simply because of Dollar they get. India is poor country with developed intellect . The classical artist are paid very less in India and always followed by orchestra who are paid in lakhs. The same reason VP sir singing in film songs and advt. jingles . for the sake of money . Hence there is no difference between artist go to US for money and VP sir. At least VP sir is here in India and singing for Indian audience

The comment seems just to target the great talented singer. If possible just point out the mistakes. Don't forget even the likes of SPB, M. S. SUBBHALAKSHMI, BHIMSEN, PBS, BALAMURALI had tried in both film music and classical. Know that even there are more talents but insulting such a talent we can sense the the depth in music. Even Dr. Raj with just Rangbhoomi background earned the award in classical song. So, no problem his fans accept his voice whether classical or filmy
