KEYS To KO - How Inoue Systematically Destroyed Moloney's Boxing Style

Спорт

Welcome to Keys To KO! Today we’ll be looking at how Naoya the Monster Inoue systematically dismantled a current champ's, Jason Moloney, boxing style to retain his championship. Knockouts aren't usually just one thing, they're built up to during the entire fight. Let's look at how.

    Yeah that power with his size is absolutely insane, and what makes him really special is he can put people down via body punch, Inoue is a mfer that hits HARD and HEAVY. kinda makes me worry about his hands though cuz that's a lot of power going through them.

    It's kind of poetic how the first ajustment Inoe made went to conclusively end the fight as if it was a chain reaction of Moloney's bag of tricks getting depleted

  • @TheModernMartialArtist

    @TheModernMartialArtist

    3 ай бұрын

    It's pretty cool but it really makes sense if you think about it. Inoue "took away" his jab by punishing him for throwing it, but if you take away a punch and they keep throwing it anyways like Moloney did then that first thing will just keep working until maybe it ends the fight. That's why smart fighters will start throwing the punch or setting it up a little different. Floyd was incredible at that, destroyed opponents game plans they had spent months devising by adjusting to it the very next round.

  • @MrVictorchic

    @MrVictorchic

    3 ай бұрын

    I think Maloney has a bad corner. He didn't make adjustments and was predictable. You can't be keep same rhythm while fighting a top class boxer. Poor combos choices. When he started circling he wasn't throwing anything which encouraged Inoue to attack without caution.

    Best Naoya Inoue fight for me. Moloney asked more different questions than any other and made Inoue bring his full arsenal. Especially his in-fighting in the 3rd round was a joy to watch. Better inside skills than anyone bar Beterbiev in the modern scene

  • @razzaman9023

    @razzaman9023

    2 ай бұрын

    I agree Beterbiev is a monster his insane power coupled with his boxing ability is unstoppable. His fight against Bivol will really test him tho. And to be honest Bivol doesn't have the power to knock him out. So unless Bivol can escape Beterbiev's power he will lose. Also it will go to show that Canelo really isn't that guy anymore because if he can't beat Bivol he will have no chance against Beterbiev.

    This was a clinical and devastating performance especially when you think about what both have achieved since. If there's one fight from Inoue I'd like to see deconstructed its his performance against Tapales, himself an elite technician who came in with a very solid gameplan to counter the monster's best weapons, and in spots was able to look brilliant.

  • @jonghoonpark5497

    @jonghoonpark5497

    2 ай бұрын

    I agree. Tapales was very effective in spots, and Inoue actually gave Tapales a few nods of approval at times. The fight was lost for Tapales when he became too focused on his counterpunching agenda, such as the lean-back philly shell and the half-steps backward while applying the high guard earmuff strategy. His punch output decreased, and as a result, Inoue just started to beat him up.

  • @jonghoonpark5497

    @jonghoonpark5497

    2 ай бұрын

    One of the best things that Tapales did, which Terrence Crawford has become the master of, was touch and tap checking the opponent's guard from his own outwardly extended high guard, and then firing a sudden jab that's fired from that point-blank range. It's unstoppable. Tapales snapped Inoue's head back a few times with that. In terms of sheer chin and toughness, one could argue that Tapales was the toughest fighter Inoue has faced. Donaire and Maloney were tough, but they moved in and out of the pocket. Tapales often stayed right there, flat footed.

    KO'ing people is easy: First, become the most feared and destructive boxer in the world. Then, take your opponents heart and soul by systematically punishing him for every adjustment he makes, while winning every round. Then finally land an absolute Monster shot, and it's game over! Watching this back, Moloney showed a lot of heart and deserves credit for sticking it out. That was one hell of a rough night.
