My God, This would be absolutely perfect for me, if only, 1: it had an F row; 2: it was a trackpad or trackpoint instead of a trackball; 3: it had a scrollwheel; 4: it had the normal keys to the left of and below the keyboard (tab, shift, ctrl, alt, caps lock, ~, esc.); 5: a few more remappable keys (so I can have dedicated arrow keys and page up/down keys, dedicated insert key, and a dedicated context menu key) 6... Actually, I guess I'ts pretty far from my perfect keyboard actually, but jeez does it have some features I really love (built-in track mouse in the center, ortholinear )

Can you tie in the trackball where the right thumb rests like you have with your Keymouse?

You are making all the things I wanted to make myself! I really think these are cool though. I have been too poor to get these so far. I would also kind of like to have the f keys available. Not that I'd necessarily use them a lot. But they could just be there in case there are some rare macros I need available and so that the f keys don't have to eat away on the other key combinations. Not sure about that though. It also looks like it has a very steep rise on the edge under palm. Is that not a problem?

Yeah and control, shift are really quite important. Alt might also be in a weird spot to use with emacs hotkeys.

@@Hirvee5 Hi Emacs and Keymouse Alpha user here. I would like to see as well some modification to current layout. I would like to have 4 key clusters underneath my thumbs as it is on Keymouse Alpha. Thank you Hirvee5 for pointing that one out.

I LOVE this idea, but I really hope a 60%ish version is planned. More keys would make this a veeery good option. (Currently an Atreus62 user)

We actually posted a picture of an updated version here: facebook.com/keymouseusa/posts/2317131678520107 We are still doing some small tweaks to it, but it will have the same number of keys (total of 54 mechanical keys + 3 mouse buttons + trackball).

@@keymouseofficial You could also try and get much more thumb keys kind of like thinkpad has. I have lately noticed those are really easy to use. The thumb has much more downwards movement than what is common in keyboards. And movement in general too.

@@keymouseofficial With emacs I constantly use alt with my thumb for key combinations which I think works pretty well and the current version doesn't have a key at that location at all.

Looks nice but the thumb clusters are way too far up IMO. Shift the whole middle section south, i.e. put the trackball where the center cluster is currently.

@@sillyskeliten Thank you. This particular version is designed to use the trackball with your fingers, not your thumb. There are several things we are trying to accomplish with this model of which two of them are: 1. Keep the device as small as possible. 2. Add as many keys as possible. In reference to the thumb area, if we move the trackball down, it will basically remove all thumb keys. Thank you for the feedback though! We may make a variation with the trackball at the thumb, we'll see.
