Wow! I had no idea about the world of keyboard modding or the term "thocky" until this video! That is a neat hobby you can do with your kid. I value quietness and portability and am very pleased with the Apple Magic Keyboard. But some of your mechanical keyboards look very cool, like the TOW and Minecraft ones!

Since I work a lot from home, my thocky keyboard won’t annoy my work colleagues. The Magic Keyboard on the iPad Pro is a great keyboard; its two downsides are the price and the fact that you won’t be able to use it once you stop using your 12.9” iPad Pro. My only wish is that the Q1v2 or Q10 had wireless like the K6 Pro. Then I could use it with all of my devices and computers.
Agree that $349 for the iPad 12" ONLY keyboard, 💯that is expensive indeed. And the pitch and thocky-ness is so widely varying amazing how much range there is that way. And if I had to vote for a fave, I will go for the higher pitched Keychron Q10, less thocky, but audibly clicky.

I'm going to make some ASMR keyboard videos for posterity. First up will be the Q1v2, but I'll get the Q10 in this week.

I remember what the the office building of the 80’s sounded like after watching this video. Funny how the clicking keyboard’s are making their way back. For me I purchased the budget and silent keyboard from Logitech they call the K380. I work with an IPad and need to be mobile and quiet. I also spend most of my time on windows and Linux during the day. The K380 keyboard lets me work with all 3 for only $30. That’s only $10 per machine. That’s cheap!

Yes, Logitech keyboards are very affordable and of decent quality. I used the K811 (in the video) and their solar-powered K760 (not in the video) for many years.
I'm big on the Keychron K4
