This is the same solution everyone one is saying.....it's not working. Tried it with the knob in the door, out of the door, with the key at EVERY angle....it's still stick.

@@jbailey4317 then it’s something more serious than a loose tailpiece, take it to a locksmith.

My parents were at this parent orientation and they left me with the key (I was at a friend’s house), and I had a mental breakdown that my key was gunna stay stuck and that i would have to wait for 2 hours and finally it came out because I tried this technique thank you so much

Key got stuck in freezing temperature. Googled the problem and found your video immediately. In 2 minutes, I was back inside with the damn thing. Thank you so much!!

I would just like to point out.. I’m here at work and I got a key stuck in the managers office because I used the wrong one and it could’ve been a huge problem lol. I had a moment of stress because my boss was already having a bad day... but this video just saved my butt lol. Thank you so much

OMG!!! This worked!!! My husband’s key was stuck in the main entrance door and he couldn’t get into our apartment. I could buzz him in but he couldn’t just leave the key stuck in the door. So he kept tugging at it for almost 30 minutes. I decided to google how to remove a key stuck in the door. In 10 seconds I found your video and was able to help my frustrated and upset husband in 5! Haha thanks so much for your help🙏🏾🙏🏾

Amazing this worked like a charm I had the key in the lock all night I didn't want to break anything after trying all night, in the morning I give it a go....after watching this video I got the key out on seconds thank you...this is the best key video out there.

Outstanding Guardian Safe & Lock! Thanks for this video. My neighbors had this exact problem and of course me being the technical guru that I am went to KZread for the solution. Showed my neighbors the video and it worked like a charm. One little note: Don't try to pull the key out with pliers or any other tools because you can damage the cylinder and the technique won't work as shown in the video and you will really need to call a 24/7 lock smith and pay out your pocket if you live in a house or have a business. In our case we live in a high rise complex and we have maintenance/repair personnel that can stop by in the morning and fix the the lock, however my neighbors issue happened at night and I was leaving my apartment to go to the store and they stopped me for assistance. I was happy to help with the assistance of this video you guys made. Now, if we didn't resolved this issue my neighbors would of broke the key off and contact maintenance in the morning. Saved us time and frustration! I contacted my neighbors in the morning informed them to watch the video in it's entirety and to request maintenance to repair lock to avoid any future issues. Thanks for SHARING, because sharing is caring!! 😁👌🏿👍🏿

Lol glad we could help.... just keep in mind, this will continue to get worse unless a locksmith comes out to either tighten the tailpiece or fix whatever else may be wrong. Just want to give you a heads up so one day the lock doesn’t fall out in your hand. Good luck!

Thank you bruddah. my lock was a bit different but the mechanics were the same. Fixed my sticky lock myself with just a phillips screwdriver. Saved me a good $90 calling someone out.

Great video. I know whast you are talking about when you say the pins are not aligning. I would benefit from a diagram drawing at that point. I would imagine others would benefit even more but still great video!

It definitely hadn't worked for me. Turns out that the resting position for the key in the lock it was stuck in was horizontal, and I had tried to pull it out vertically. I only figured it out after unscrewing the lock and taking a look at how it operates. Still, the video motivated me to unscrew the lock, thanks!
