You remind me when I lived in FL I caught shrimp and crabs right off my backyard too 🤙 Love all your vids. Never stop posting the bloopers too 👍 Cheers

You should try baiting for the shrimp. 50/50 fish meal and powdered clay. Mix completely and add just enough water to make a grapefruit sized ball. Slightly flatten the ball and toss the bait a few feet from the dock. Use a 6 foot (easy to throw) shrimp net. No underwater lite, they can see the net falling. We shrimp in St. Helena Sound (night) and Bulls Bay (day) SC. Our limit is 48 Qts per day.

I don't mean to be a 'nattering nabob of negativism' here, but that restricted waterway has had oil/grease/fuel/sewage (unless everyone uses porta-potties)/pesticides/herbicides in it. Just because it's clear, doesn't mean it's clean. I live near the Mississippi river and we DON'T eat fish out of it for those very reasons.... I hope the shrimp were good otherwise!!

I think for the most part they are no worse than any of the meat, eggs, vegetables, and fruit sold in supermarkets and in restaurants. The shrimp are migrating from the bays and the Everglades to make their way to the ocean to spawn. I’m not sure exactly how healthy they are but they are delicious! In light of everything else we eat that is polluted, it’s a chance we are willing to take!
