i cant deal with this edit. i keep coming back to it. it genuinely stops my heart beating and i feel like crying. you really managed to use video editing to capture the conflict within kevin's mind, with the static noise and harsh sound being overlayed by the creepily sweet nursery music. the juxtaposition of the 'you don't look happy' with his angry and contorted expression is absolutely chilling, as is the child kevin 'counting down' while you use the clips of his massacre on top. it truly reinforces the idea that kevin only saw people as 'numbers' or 'pawns' in his game, and the casualness of his counting with the brutal and murderous attack really brings that home. Sorry this was so long but I basically can't express how much I love this video and how much justice you've done to his character.

Ezra is so beautiful, how even...

The editing is amazing. It’s really nice to see an edit of this movie that doesn’t glorify or sexualise the character of Kevin. So many edits of this movie are teenage girls making a romantic fantasy of his character, and honestly I feel like it takes away the horror and brutality of the events taking place in this film.

❤ Maddie Dicaprio ❤ exactly! It’s okay to love this movie, and love Ezra’s acting but you shouldn’t love Kevin. He’s a psychopath. And some people are delusional enough to think love can fix a psychopath but there is no cure. It’s supposed to be a horror film just not the bloody and gory type, the psychological type. I love the movie but I don’t sympathize for Kevin. He has no excuse for the shit he does. There’s something wrong with him in the brain. And yeah his genes aren’t his fault, but he was unlucky enough to get those genes and they decided his path for him. I hate Kevin. But I am intrigued by the human brain and the way it goes wrong, which is why I love this movie.

@Goose - doesn't really matter though when it's a movie discussing actual, realistic problems. a lot of these girls are romanticising him and defending him after he's done horrendous things that aren't entirely out there or functional. some will literally rationalise it. i love ezra as much as anyone and he did an incredible job in this role. it's just disappointing that, especially when the antagonist is attractive, there's always going to be that crowd who ruins it and its message. you can say it's just fiction but these are the same people who will blame victims and even harass their families after a woman is murdered by her arguably handsome spouse; there was a case whether this man literally killed his young daughters and his wife; there were people who flooded to social media and resulted in the deletion of most of her family member's account. and that's not even to mention the obsession people have with school shooters specifically. i can't necessarily speak to that because it's more of an american problem, but i have tumblr and it's insane how frequent people romanticise and attempt to humanise people like this.

This movie scares the living hell out of me the first time I watched it I cried it basically makes you feel suspense through the whole film and then end gives you chills

i love this movie so much. it’s one of the most uncomfortable and difficult watching experiences i’ve ever had with a movie, but Ezra Miller’s performance alone is enough to put it in as one of my favorites of all time.

I love movies like this. No gore or jump scares. It is cerebral and really gets under your skin. Another film I would highly recommend is Calibre.

+Julia36229 the cinematography in both movies are very unique and beautiful, but stoker for me is a _litte_ overused in videos. it's really nice to see something refreshing in my sub-box :D the whole cast in 'Kevin' is just fantastic! and I know what you mean with Ezra ;D I was obsessed about him a while ago. I recommend you 'The Stanford Prison Experiment' ;D

this video had been stalking me in my 'recommended' a lot because i watched so many kevin videos. kind of put it off to watch later. finally came here and not disappointed at all. this is honestly amazing! i saw someone complaining about the colouring, i honestly think it fit so well because it enhances the redness of it all. i love the tune too, clownish and creepy. thank you for this.

oh, sorry i remember that i was in love with the redness of a human skin about this coloring and how it pops grey-ish green-ish from times to times, like when they were sitting in prison. and i love that thought that some creepy stuff are not always dark, like 'clowns' - everything about them is bright, colorful and happy but in the end of the day it's not :D so it's kinda the same? when i was watching the movie (at the beginning) i haven't thought that there's smth is wrong with kevin, it seems like he's ok, just a troubled kid but that's all? but in the end he showed us his true face, and still it wasn't all dark and sad, he was smiling when the police caught him. so i guess i used these colors to show that 'children are always okay, but kinda not' thing, there's smth hidden under the surface, and you can't really see it at first, you just see a nice happy kid.

this colouring worked really well, as far as i'm concerned. especially considering the song reminds me of those infamous jack-in-the-box kid's toys. the youthful, innocent aura can be genuinely creepy, especially when you come to learn that someone isn't at all fragile like they appear. anyway, i like the colouring a lot. it's lovely.

I just watched this movie a few days ago and I am dying to read the book!!! Ezra did an amazing job in this role and the suspense throughout the movie was superb. Very sad but thought provoking in many ways. Definitely one of those movies that stay with you. You have sympathy for both of the main characters. I read that the book is written in Eva’s POV and I would be so interested in it being a written in Kevin’s POV. But I know the author wanted the ambiguity. Is he born evil? Was it the lack of love from Eva? I think he is incredibly intelligent but there was a psychological disorder and they should have intervened very early. The dad just kept blaming the wife and just idolized his son (to be fair, the son would put an act up in front of his dad). Really, truly a brilliant movie and cast.

Тааак-с. Похожая тема с насилием в Школьный стрелок (там Норман Ридус еще играет). С Эзрой Миллером еще есть Тюремный эксперимент в Стэнфорде, довольно сильный такой фильм! Еще вспомнился Эксперимент 2. Волна с Максом Риммельтом. А с потрясающе нестандартно показанными отношениями мать/сын есть фильм Чрево с Евой Грин и Мэттом Смитом. Это то, что сходу вспомнилось)

Maria Nikou okay without any fuss; the movie IS pretty disturbing. You are definitly going to learn a lot about how a sociopath needs a certain "environment" (in this movie a mother who didn't really connected with him and a father who never understood him) to grow. Ezra Miller is an fantastic actor and so is Tilda Swinton and even though you don't "see" alot of violence, there is definitly a lot of it implied. It is a terrific but also horrific experience to watch this movie esspecially if your a bit sensitive (like me). I watched the movie for the first time when I was 12 or 13 and even though I loved the actor of Kevin, I wouldn't recommend someone younger than 16 to watch this. I hope this helps you :) you can also just watch the trailer and look for yourself if it is to much for you
