why you used a mag drill set up like that blows my mind? SDS drill on drill, and just hold it.

Yes sir
Some of the monster truck guys have entire crews of people to work on their trucks. Love how everything you have done to your truck is all Kev! Great work!
"Jesus! I need a fat bas..." this had me howling 😂😂😂
I love monster truck videos, which makes them hard to find, yet this guy has a hole series on them and I watched the series 2 times.

Your welding beads are beaut! 👌🏻
Kev, if ya ever buy yourself your own hydraulic-hose crimping machine, make sure the first set of hoses that you make for it, are 2 sets of replacement hoses for the crimping machine itself. Ask me how I know. 😆
You’re tire patch kit has me rolling 🥸
More Kev!!!! Yessss! 💪
Love that you are living your dream bro

It's not quite as violent as banger racing. But a lot of fun.
11:46 I was convinced after all that bodging of a setup, and the hand ground 45deg drill, it was all going to go wrong. Fair play for making that work so well!!!!
Large scale aircraft casually perched on the Lambo, love it 😄
Kevin! Loafers in the shop?! What's next???? Flip flops and black socks?😂😂 Get some boots dude!
23:52 stop it kev 😂😂😂 was getting more drawn into the build and the information given then you edit a moment into perfection
I love the absolute pinnacle of form follows function
I hope he does more cockpit vids this year! 🤞 So cool to see it from that perspective.
4:30 I like how this guy is trying to fix a monster truck tire with tire prop’s I use on work to fix some small holes in car tires😂 I will be amazed if it will hold on a jump
I used to live in Breckenridge Missouri. Was the home of Orange Crush Monster Truck. The owner would let us kids set in the truck. One of my fondest childhood memories.
Thanks for sharing!
yooo finally monstertruck updates
NOBODY has more fun than you!! great job on getting that tire on the bead!!!
I tore a 3cm hole in the side of my atv tire. I was 90km from my truck. Instuffed 6 of those tire plugs in and 3 weeks later it was still holding air. They are awesome.
The monster trucks vids are some of my favorites! Great content! I’ve been a sub for a long time and am so happy for you making your dreams come true with this monster truck, you even got a rc Ramonator replica! Cheers Mate! Good Luck on the Show
Awesome stuff Kev! I will never complain about putting bead locks on my RC trucks together again! LOL
You have a lot of perseverance to be fair. It's fun watching you overcome and adapt to problems on the the truck with very limited tools for this kind of work.👍
For the split tyre, you need to get in to the back of the tyre, grind the back of the split slightly and then use a vulcanising patch.
I love the monster truck videos, keep it up kev❤️
Good to see Vinnie and Ian. Truck is looking great. Winning 🙌
What's up Kev? I just learned this the other day my dad taught me but in this situation you can take a ratchet strap and run it around the tire like all the way around the tread and squeeze the tire and that'll make it seal up on the rim and then you can air it up and then let the ratchet strap loose
finally lets go
Kev I expect you missed the 'Top Gear' when they did the episode from Iceland in winter. Those guys are crazy, they drove huge 4x4s with similar balloon tyres to yours. They run them at 3psi on the glaciers, and they often come of the bead and are useless. Their cure was similar to what a few commenters suggested, as spraying lighter gas inside the tyre, taking a few steps back and throwing a lit match at the wheel. The gas instantly ignites and blows the tyre back on the bead at the same time. Best done OUTSIDE. It was hugely impressive to see, I recommend finding the episode, it was with Clarkson in it.
Thanks for the MT content. You are the only one making it. Hope V2vids comes back to YT we need more MT content!
I love watching the monster truck content, i even take notes while watching so i know the best tips for if i want to make a monster truck
Love these videos, always lived the trucks from a kid. Videos always chill me out a bit when I'm struggling so ty.
Great video Kev, really enjoyed it.
Hey Kevin A couple of ideas that might make it a bit easier in the future. The Mag based drill is the go for the countersinking of the wheel nut holes and there is really nothing wrong with using extension sleeves but there is an easier way. You could use a milling cutter made for cutting dove tails. This would require the mag base on the other side of the wheel and removing the cutter for each hole then remounting it in the drill. Instead of pushing with the drill you would just pull it up to the required depth. Also a bit of a heads up about the new hydraulic cylinders. If they have been assembled dry and seem to be stuck in the barrel like yours were you should really avoid rotating the rod and even hammering on them as well. Why? Well when dry the seals can stick so hard to the barrel that especially when rotating you can tear the edge off that does the sealing thus causing the piston to bypass or the gland end to leak. If you can you should always try to run the cylinder a couple of strokes with oil and then rotate the shaft once it has been bled even only turning once moving. After the first 5 or 10 strokes this isnt quite as important as the seals will be well lubed. I just connect them up to the oil if possible with the cylinder filled as high as convenient. It will move rapidly for the first few strokes until the air is out of the system so you should be aware. Seeing your jack for the truck you could easily add a couple of valves and other fittings to it so you could run the cylinders a little without firing up the truck. I know you have already done both jobs and they worked out great but the info could help Future Kev so thats all it was for. Cheers

thanks for the info dude, appreciate it :)
Brings back memories. Back in the early 90's I was using Char-Lynne #211-1012 orbital steering valves on my trucks to give me 2.5 turns lock to lock.
That thing is a beast with the big wheels on it!! Love the noise it makes!
It was cool seeing you work on Game Over
Kev, roll the tyre outside and take out the valve, lie it on its backside of the rim and try and stand on it to try and get it seated up close to the bead, now get a can of brake cleaner, spray it inside the rim just past the bead and then spray a line of it on the wall, now get a lighter and ignite the trail left on the wall and move your arse out the way quick as poss, it'll basically ignite and push it back onto the bead, its a trick by for off roaders and truckers, there will be youtube videos showing it.
Great content Kevin, some solid progress.
Mann, I love the way you do the wrenching, your all MANN.😊😊😊😊😊
Those tyre repair kits are ace. I got a screw in a brand new £250 tyre and bunged one of these in and its been holding perfectly for the last 6 months. Worth every penny!
Love your content kev, But most of all love seeing your comments on other channel's on how awake you are. Pureblood m8.

Kevin Talbot, This is fantastic! I subscribed right away!
The amount of work with this machine, maaaan 👍🤗
Ratchet strap around the center of the tire pull it up tight the center collapse an the sides go out towards the beads, also take the core out the valve you can get more air in faster hope it helps bro, love the Channels keep it up.james south africa
Hope we get to see you in the states.
Fulfilling childhood dreams is always worth it. ESPECIALLY if its having your own monster truck! lol
Stacking dimes on that jig 🔥
It's all worth it cant wait to see this in action ❤❤🎉🎉
Dont worry....your Mig welding looks great!!!
getting there Kev. operating an indie team isnt easy. Steering looks much smoother now. have you considered siping your tires to get rid of some of the weight? full lugs are good on dirt but a PITA on asphalt. should help with the cornering and handling as well the steering
A good shot of starting fluid is the way to put those tires back on the rims!
Yooo after a long gap monster video ❤
You do a great job fabbing stuff up. Using the lucas bottle as an oil funnel is a stroke of genius 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘☕️🤘
I ❤ your MT content!
I need a fat bas- got me so good 😂😂😂
You almost did it the correct way when you were putting those bacon strips in the tire instead of at an ankle you got to do it straight and as closely as in line with the hole as possible once you get it shoved in enough, pull it out really quick or yank out the reamer quickly Love the videos. There's just something about them that makes them unique and special
Look forward to seeing this at pod again you have been busy buddy
Kev she is insane buddy sounds out of this world ❤
Love it, Kev! (Just a tip: if you're leaving nuts or bolts loose, put some red or bright green tape on them as a reminder to torque them later)

Amazing that it's all half arsed but actually works out. Do you ever do any fuel system maintenance as methanol is very corrosive?
26:54 kevin talbots squatted truck 😂😂
Throw a little flex seal on the split 😂 should be mint!!!
So in other words a out the box monster truck is the same as most RTR RC’s spend a fortune on it , & then have to send more upgrading it typical 😂😂😂😂 all worth in the end though 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic Kev,that drill was just awesome 😮 🇬🇧
Bit of a tip kev when ya put in ya stabiliser in the oil .put in half the gallon of oil heat up the stabiliser with hot water then tip the stabiliser in the rest of the oil left ..shake it and it’ll fill up quicker than waiting for it to come out of the small bottle neck ..
It's a hobby It's funn Its worth it 😜🤗🔥🔥 Ready steady, bash again 👍🏼👍🏼
Without rubber cement applied to the tire plug it won’t seal and you can also burn them to seal them as well but they make something called a plug patch that goes from the inside and you pull it through the hole and there’s a patch on the inside they are great Use them for tractors all the time
Just like the beed locks on the XMax Kev !!😂😂
Your welding skills are mint Kevin! Really neat job. Awesome truck.
can't wait to save up enough for your course
Try hooking up your steering lines backwards once and try to drive it, it’s ridiculously hard! I used to work in a case ih manufacturing plant that made the big sprayers. I was a tester and every once in a while the assemblers would hook the lines up wrong and we’d go to start it up and drive it out the door for the first time and it would be backwards. If there wasn’t time to fix it on the line we’d have to drive it like that over to our repair bays. It was so weird, your brain fights you from trying to turn the wrong way which is the right way 🤣
Have you guys never repaired a tire before!? You have to use some rubber cement glue stuff on that strip so the wound in the tire has glue in it too. Shoving in just a repair strip will leave gaps unless you subject that part of the tire to a bunch of heat. The strip will soften into a sort of rubber goo but regardless, you forgot to use the rubber cement! .. The rubber cement acts as a sort of lubricant to shove the strip in also. So you don't have to hit it with a hammer...

I like those mushroom cap style plugs they're the bees knees
Need heat/torch for the tire plugs. Light it up, let it burn for a few seconds, blow it out then shove it in. Lighting them on fire melts the plugs which when they cool off, they stick or melt to the rubber of the tire. Also, the first tool is a reemer. It's to make the hole bigger if needed for the plug. You use it like a saw (in and out quickly and repeatedly). Yea a "saw" is the most PG description for the kiddos.
Radial dynamics is the best. And with that increased orbital valve, those bigger cylinders shouldn’t be an issue. It’ll turn better with your spools.
Kevin we use air compressor and add a little pressure to move the cylinders in and out, makes it much easier.
Hay kev you might be missing one of the basics for tig. Here is a re run. Proper stick out. Proper tungsten for the job. DCEN for mild steel. Minimum 11 cfh flow for mild. Check your area for a source of air flow that can be pulling your gas away from the puddle.
I've been a fan of monster trucks for nearly 35 years but my absolute favorite will always be BIGFOOT
its worth it its been your dream for years you been working on it for years i remember waking up and see if u put the engine in it and see if you made progress for years i love them videos

You can move the ram in a hydraulic cylinder with air. Just stick the blow gun in either port with a rag around it to provide a seal. Won't take much air pressure to make it move.
