This is yet another humbling measure of this legend of a man. He was unwaveringly respected by fans of all teams as a player - a feat few will achieve in their career. Since retiring from a glittering career, he has shown that captaining Leeds to multiple medals and trophies was actually only the start of how this man would inspire others. His strength of character is difficult to comprehend, and his physical and mental strength would humble the strongest of people. The fact that he chooses to apply these inhuman powers he possesses to a disease which deprives its victims of the physical strength they had in their lives, is a beautiful and spiriting tribute. When you see the recognition from the person whose family was affected by MND, and of course, from Rob and his family, it brings his efforts into sharp focus. When you see his discomfort and humbleness when he confronted by the gratitude of people he is affecting, the purity of his motivation is disarming. What an inspirational man, athlete, friend and trail-blazer. It's people like Kev that should be held up as role models for the next generation. Thank you Sir Kev.

The final bit to Headingley will have to be uphill. It's quite high above the city.

Ridiculous. If charity is the goal, support and interview a man who does something for 24 hours which helps people, or at least is sensible, instead of putting himself within an inch of hospitalization and early onset arthritis. Work a 24 hour shift in a homeless shelter, care home, cleaning hospital wards, or an orphanage. Pathological charity culture, lead by the media, lapped up by a TV indoctrinated public.
