Trophy hunters are as far away as being "men" as you can be. They are heartless cowards who only care about their own selfish interests. What Kevin does takes real courage, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and compassion, which is what a true man is all about. Trophy hunters think only about themselves and crave attention and significance. They are the lowest form of human being on the planet. And, in fact, psychologists see a connection between trophy hunters and serial killers. They care both cut from the same clothe.The planet would be much better without either of them.

In one of his videos Kevin said Bobcat weights around 185kg, which is the same as Meg and Amy (they're 180kg each as per Kevin's information). And Vayetsi weights around 210kg and is one of Kevin's bigger lions.

Luffy SkyWalker actually Bobcat weighs more than 200kg, that what I heard from the Lion Whisperer. Male lions can weigh up to 250 Kg.

RIP Amy. Meg & Amy, beautiful sister lionesses, raised by Kevin since they were 2 days old. Amy died this month of leukemia. Both Meg & Amy had beautiful, loving personalities, the best lionesses ever!💕🦁🦁💕 Wonderful to see this old clip of Meg & Amy & Kevin, in the rain, talking to guests at the sanctuary.

Kevin is my favorite human. No one will ever know Lions like he does. I'm so thankful to be alive at a time when I can experience them through him like this.

Wow when Kevin talked about the number of Lions left in the wild it broke my heart! That's almost 70% less than it was a little over a decade ago! These beautiful and majestic creatures should never get so low in numbers that the only way you can see them is in enclosures like this or a zoo! God bless Kevin Richardson for educating us and bringing awareness about the reality of these amazing animals!! They are just so beautiful to look at!!

Yes, friend, you spoke ALL IN ONE !! and out of my heart. Some things I can't really write perfectly, cause I'm a German, but always I understand everything. We all are so happy to got to know Kevin, it's also spending our time more sense fully (senseful?), by seeing all that lovely stuff of videos. This is one of the curses of mankind, we kill wildlife for sport or because it interferes with our plans. But I think the real reason we kill all the wildlife is because we aren't supposed to kill each other. Mankind is a warring species, if we aren't killing we want to see the killing.

I swear Kevin was born with so many god-given gifts, and strong back must be one of them. Because if 300lb and 450lb lions were jumping on me, my back would go out so fast....

sean im i heard he does weight training. Dead lifting and squatting regularly. He can take it. But he did have back pain for a while. I think it's far gone now.

He has had those two (Meg & Amy) since they were tiny cubs. They used to ride on his back, which wasn't a problem when they were tiny 15 pound cats.. when they still wanted to do it after getting to 200 pounds+.. then it became an issue, hehe

The relationship Kevin has with these creatures is simply magic

Sure there are people wealthier then him, but I always feel like he must be the most envied person in the world. Who wouldn't want to enjoy the amazing experience of being friends with these incredibly strong and fierce animals? His dedication and love paid off. Kevin is a true legend.

I think even those of us who are not big animal lovers, still have a lot to learn from Kevin and other people like him.

If you're like me and have been keeping up with Kevin Richardson over the years, you realize that you've literally grown up with Meg and Amy and the rest. I love watching the lions and his hyenas and I can't say enough about the work Kevin does. The man is truly remarkable. But I also know it's gonna be gut wrenching when one of them passes on someday.

So beautiful they are. Kevin is so good with them.

clara Yeah, these are South African lionesses. Southern African lions especially in Kruger or Namibia are the biggest on average and on record. East African lions from the Serengeti plains of Kenya and Tanzania are a close second.

Beautiful and intelligent animals, lions should never become extinct, the fact that their numbers have decreased so rapidly in such a short time saddens me.

This wa an amazing video! Looking at it, however, made me cry for the loss of Amy, who with her sister, was so very amazing. Kevin proved that as well as the knowledge of the cats, what a lot of love can do. I respect and admire Kevin so very much for everything he does with all the creatures in his sanctuary! 😍😍😍❤❤❤

Kevin raised Meg and Ami from when they were newborn cubs. Their mother, Tabby, rejected them. Tabby's sister, MadiTau, had a litter of cubs so Kevin put Meg and Ami in Maditau's litter. Maditau took them one at a time and put them in the drinking water. Kevin said he had to rescue these "drowned rats" and hand raise them. They think Kevin is their mother! They are now about sixteen years old. Kevin adores Meg and Ami and they adore him. I like this video because you can see just how big the girls really are. It was really interesting to hear Kevin talk about the girls and lions in general. I never realized how big they were until I saw this video. 🦁💖🦁💖🦁

How wonderful to see Meg and Amy spending time with Kevin. Poor Amy, I miss her sweet self. Kevin is an animal hero, like Steve Irwin was, conserving, raising awareness & changing people's minds about lions and hyenas, and black leopards. I'm happily a member of Kevin's channel, helping his cause, so we conserve and save wild lions. ❤

A sweet yet painful sight seeing all 3 of them together again. I've been watching Kevin's videos since they first came out so many years ago and the amount of respect and admiration I have for Kevin is massive. That being said, I am ashamed to say that I have yet to bring myself to watch the episode just after Amy's passing away, where Kevin discusses it at length. And there are reasons for this beyond it simply being a very emotional episode to watch. Having myself recently lost my little girl chihuahua, who I had for 19 years, since she was a puppy, dealing with death on that level has become extra difficult. One day I will bring myself to watch that video.....eventually.

I loved the close-up look into Meg's eyes at the end of the video. Reminds me of looking into my own cat's eyes because I'm always left wondering what they're thinking. Meg's eyes were even more mysterious.

He’s very genuine with his big cats. He leaves them in there natural habitat as if they’re in the wild. Some people put their big cats in their very own backyard... so all of the work Kevin Richardson does for his kitties, he deserves a medal.

God has given this man grace to be able to do what he does. He LOVES these lions nd treats them with respect. 💓

The lioness are sure big and living a good and happy life with Kevin with lots of respect and love for each other as well as Kevin. Amy is missed😍

I think they show more love then a lot of humans do. Especially to Kevin they can't seem to get enough. I'm sure like soldiers who see friends die the Lions do also and they put it behind them and push on.

lions know loyalty as long as you feed & fatten them, if not you become their next morsel, not meal. Children and family do not eat us when hungry but lovingly ask for food and hug, kiss, play with us & return our love, patience, kindness, with us when we age provided we don’t throw them out @ 16, in our old age drive us everywhere we need to be or go, walk with us patiently........if you did the same to them when they were young & innocenf instead of you partying like an animal, busy with money making & merry making & your own selfish interests, cheating or messing around etc. I love my family to death & nothing or nobody will stop me from giving them the world on a silver platter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@MichElle-sd6gj In Kevin's case the Lions see him as a member or leader of the pride, he raised most of them from cubs so it's slot deeper than just him being the one of feeds them, he also plays with them, joins them while they hunt, grooms them and etc.

@@mtxumi Not necessarily true, Lions turn on each other often in the wild. Of course it's for survival reasons and most of these Lions see Kevin as a member or leader of their pride so it's unlikely they would ever do that to him.

Lions are beautiful but their emotional receptors if you can call it that are not wired the same way as most humans are. They are nice to some who earn their trust, but they don't get overly attached like you think they do, one slight mistake and you're done in their mind. It takes a tremendous effort, work and care to make them even slightly loyal to a human to be able to be up close with them. Humans have an emotional buffer of sorts. You love and respect someone, even after you betray them or steer them the wrong way they still have a high threshold for forgiveness. Lions don't work that way. It's a very thin line. But they are magnificent creatures.

I have learned more about lions in the past two weeks of watching Kevin’s videos that I have in my entire lifetime and I am 74. Thank you Kevin. You make this old man very happy just to see such magnificent creatures up close.

I can only imagine how Kevin felt being with Amy for so long. What a beautiful girl she was. That special bond the love and caring is unbelievable. I feel so privileged to feel apart just to watch the videos. Also having Kevin educate me about the Cats and Hyenas. We get used to seeing the unbelievable & amazing with widespread cameras & social media but DAMN Just an unreal bond & relationship he has forged with these true apex predators is simply jaw-dropping. When my housecat gets cranky I back off b/c they can put the hurt on you, all 10-12 pounds of him. These ladies have the build of short horses, DAMN, look at their freakin frames, truly unbelievable. Good on you Sir, you're a shinning light for sure.
