I've been around for half a century, seen the greats, Richards, Lara, Gower, Ponting, Waugh, Border, Gavaskar, etc. etc., but KP is THE best batter I have ever seen. Difficult to manage no doubt, but isn't that why you have Captains and Managers? England career cut short because of other people's ego's, just like Gower before.

Kevin Pietersen is the best. Today everybody blame T20 leagues. But I don't. Because the players who are not getting chances to play for their country, they can play in lucarative T20 leagues.

Not really sure where you get England think they need him from? KP did his level best to talk his way back into the England set up and they told him to shove it. Great batsman, grade a prick. And with the absolute drubbing England are currently dishing out to SA in SA, I feel may be right about them needing him.

+avfc85 Hardly a drubbing... in the tests, they were without Steyn and Philander but it was a good overseas win nonetheless. Lost the ODI series but were probably ahead when you wrote your post... I would have him back.

+angst haha yeah. Putting comments on YT before the end of a series comes back to haunt you lots. Especially as an England supporter, we have a way of blowing these things. Fair play to SA, came back well and deserved the series win in the end. Disappointed with the fourth ODI, we should have won that one and clinched the series but hey ho, like you said still a decent overseas showing
