@@michaeldwayno3695 apparently according to Barnardo's charity even poor working class white children have more privilege, it's on their website, search Barnardo's white privilege. It's racist, I am in utter shock at the double standards and now blatant attack on anything white everywhere in society.

It sure would be nice if they got permission for an earth sheltered home extension - that would not ruin the landscape, if done correctly, and would give them a lot more space.

What an amazingly positive and couragous man. Thanks to his relatives in allowing him to finish this great restoration.

This is in Buckinghamshire about 5 miles from Aylesbury ,heading out towards Thame . Really surprised that it's been restored ,it was falling to bits ,was full of empty cans ,bottles syringes ,foil . It was literally split into two ,it must have cost an absolute fortune to restore .

What a lovely home they've created....we need more people like these to restore our old derelict castles....castles are our history

@@mnazz18 It really isn't that beautiful at all lol .. expensive houses which are always so small even after massive extensions. Every city is the same shit but slightly larger and more rammed. America is the place to be ... I would love to move there. So much to do with so many different cities

@@AK-ql8yp the states is incredible,ive been to Arizona and houses are massive for a fraction of what they cost here, the only issue is the lack of free healthcare and somtimes wages depending on the work. Where would u like to go in America?

I just watched a short on YT. The host of the short walked up to a man and asked how much rent he paid each month. The man said that he didn't pay rent as he owns his home, which he paid 0ne million pounds for. The short was a tour of this very castle !! I didn't know about this channel before I read in the comment section of the short that said in multiple comments that this tiny castle was on this channel, so here I am !! And now I have subscribed !! Thank you for this beautiful video of this tiny castle !🥰💖🥰

Took some photographs of this place not long before it was rebuild. It was dark and snowing and suddenly felt like I was being watched from behind broken walls inside, so I left! (Too many episodes of Hammer House of Horrors as a young lad methinks) lol

The programme is about the build, not the road or the immediate area. Fantastic job! In all fairness, as long as they used identical materials and style, I can't see any logical reason for them not being allowed to extend it - *if* they wished to do so, that is. Their workmanship is after all a set precedent.

Wow. I'm envious of this family. I hope to live in a mini-castle too one day.

It's amazing what a lovely place for their children to grow up and praise to them for for filling their dream home and their passion for this old building

I warltched this one on the show, grand designs and they done a wonderful job restoring this old castle simply beautiful.

Its simply brilliant, kudos!! 💘

I GO PAST THIS EVEN WHEN I WAS A KID TOO LIKE SHE DID 😳😳 and Jesus it now looks absolutely gorgeous now 😍

I live near this and it is a lovely landmark. There’s only one problem which is surely why they were unable to sell it...it’s very close to a busy road (the A418 from Aylesbury to Thame). Horrifically noisy. They cleverly omitted that detail on Grand Designs and pointed the camera across the lovely open fields to the North.

I love the castles meant for giants and how there is extra floors to the castle buried beneath the earth from the last mud flood reset. Just amazing. Our smaller sized people definitely didn't build these with the tech we had with our horses and buggies 🤣🤣🤣

It did !! A lovely bachelor bought it for 1 million pounds !! So beautiful !! So magical !! What dreams are made of !! He has 2 swings in one oak tree: One swing looks out over the beautiful landscape while the other faces the wonderous castle. So beautiful and serene 🥰
