Programming is the right word. The announcers are programmed as well as the millions of viewers who have been programmed over the years to think professional golf is actually important and further that a bunch of scrawny white guys living in mansions inside a closed community replete with security are worthy of hero worship by the unwashed masses

Always been a huge fan. Tried to emulate his swing. Was once ranked as high as 22, but many consider him to be the best match player of all time. I do. With 4 holes to go and 3 down, he was in a trap and his opponent was in the green putting for birdie. Kis holed out the 65 foot sand shot and won the next three holes. Yes. Opponent missed the birdie putt. It was a phenomenal golf day

His golf legacy is safe. He’s been a good touring pro for a decade. Pro golf is actually work, hard work. Even with all the money and privileges….these guys really work to keep their playing status. The players on Sunday have their A games….the rest of the field constantly tweak and struggle. They do have a penchant for it and are gifted. Example: some of us know some young phenoms. I know a college player that at 16 was a plus 3. His current Amatuer rank in the USA is around #1600. First time he saw Carnoustie he shot 68 in a casual round. It’s hard work and Kis is weighing his options. Try hitting balls for 8 hours a day for 20 years and just making cuts. I hope he’s good at the Mic as NBC has good personalities in the booth since Johnny and they have been horrible .

Been in the truck before at several Golf Channel broadcasts going back to the 1990's. The time delay and many voices you hear in the headset speaking at the same time while your trying to form your own thoughts at precisely the right moment takes time. It's not effortless or easy in the beginning.

I’ll tell you a few observations from my vantage point Rich learner is the absolute best and what he does. Watching Golf these days is more and more difficult. They are coming at us with so many different announcers so much analysis way too much talking I can see the shot. I don’t need an explanation a detailed analysis as of every single shot that I see 3 mg just be quiet. Let us enjoy the shot we see it I don’t need to know what the ball speed was. You could get by with announcing these broadcast with half the people talking Dan Hicks keep Dan Hicks and One analyst and a few encore guys that’s all we need when I listen to Mike Trico, it sounds like an info it sounds like he’s trying to sell me some excitement. I don’t need to be sold anything.

When former players end up as analysts on tv it means they've lost all of their playing status or some of it. I bet he will play a few events but will start the transition to tv. I've always liked him but not sure he has the personality to be a tv talking head. Time will tell.....
