Yeah the commentary guys were in suits. Far superior commentary mainly because they aren't constantly talking about cheese bread or whatever stupid stuff the Americans talk about.

The funny thing about the Turku MPO final round was the commentator saying "Antilla's problem is that he wants to win this too bad" and Antilla went on to play the best final round I've seen him play.

the European courses are so well manicured, the cameras for coverage were amazing and the genuine excitement of the announcers were so next level. segways into commercials, everything was top notch production. Very well produced and directed.

We NEED the European commentators full time. They actually have a true color and play by play set up and they talk about specific shots for specific players. It seems like they do more research and know each persons games/shot preferences.

Found this on Reddit about the Roc3 "The roc3 is listed as approval in 2017 according to the pdga and has been released as fundraisers since 2013, with stock runs in 2015 or 2016, I can’t recall. I have a 2015 McBeth tour series one and another from 2016 USDGC even so I’m positive about this. I was so confused about this and have never gotten an answer I really feel good with. Does anyone else remember the I-ROC. I remember seeing it in and around 2008 or 9. But never saw it again and could never find proof of its existence online or anyone else who could remember me. It is burned into my mind because it was the second Roc I had ever seen. Am I crazy, or did I dream it, or does anyone remember this.

I can confirm about the tea scenario, I've lived in Texas/Bama/Florida/Illinois. The more south you go the more sweet people are. Illinois is filled with a bunch of assholes and unsweetened tea very much fills that narrative 😂

Or maybe just do commentary of a round you guys play. You would only need to pay him for a half hour of his time if you go with that idea.

Disc golf disc is 21 cm wide. One does not need to explain where it is going. Just film the flight.

I just assume all tea is sweet unless stated otherwise. I live an hour and a half south of you. Never seen anyone drink unsweetened tea unless they got the diebeetus 4. I wouldn't trust a man just choosing unsweet tea. That's a situation where I'd be looking to leave as soon as possible to get away from that person.

So many pro tour events when either Brian or Perkins has been on the ground, I've literally heard them say to the booth "kick it down to me more guys, I have lots to talk about", and then the tournament would go for another 2 plus hours before you would hear from either of them again. Also, I can't count how many times the commentary in the booth has gone so dead silent, I've fallen asleep with my chin in my lap as if it had just stopped playing so I completely agree that we are not using our commentary the way they need to be used.

It doesn't matter as far as getting points yes But it matters as far as fan perception goes. Niklas is my favorite because I'm a Finn and also rarely use forehand. Niklas could win hundreds of these events and he still wouldn't be Calvin

@@bilboswaggings I never claimed he was on par with Buhr or Heimburg on a consistency basis. But he is damn good, and has beaten both of those guys. I just think SOF isn't really that important, as anything other than a talking point for media.

I had DGN a couple years ago. I didn’t care for the quality of the product so I stopped subscribing. I hear it’s a bit better now but if they made these changes to how they commentate I would for sure give it a try again.

I just can't stomach to watch these euro events. It feels like a funeral proceeding. The vibe is like everyone you've ever loved has just died and you have to put on a disc golf broadcast. That's fine though, not every tournament has to be the same. If the Europeans like that style then this is for them to enjoy, which I hope they did.

I feel in Turku the commentator was way too excited about the shots. And the english has too many grammatical errors, and some of the phrases are directly translated from finnish and lose their meaning in translation. Don't know how it sounded to americans...

I felt the commentary was great. I hear just as many errors in grammar on THIS show and it's their native language.
