He shouldn't have started the tournament by saying he's the best in the world....
I think Paul is mixing up Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. Mauer was a great hitter but not a big power guy _(his career high in homers was 28 the year he won MVP; his second highest HR total was 13)._ He also "only" has 1 MVP, though he received votes several times. He was an excellent all-around player with great defense at catcher _(5 Gold Gloves),_ and great discipline at the plate _(124 career OPS+)._ Cale and Joe were indeed on the same baseball team, and apparently Cale was very good, too. Cale played shortstop; I'm not sure what position Mauer played in HS, but he was a catcher in MLB for 10 years before transitioning to 1st base _(a lot of catchers don't play catcher their whole career, especially the ones who can hit; all that squatting is rough on the knees)._ Cale was the leadoff hitter and Mauer batted 3rd in the order, at least according to Cale's quote in an article from 2013.
I really like seeing these crazy low scores. Course is also beautiful, so lush and green
12:33 DEAD! 🤣🤣🤣
When you gotta get to 16th to see somebody outside the double digits under, you know there are going to be some wild scores this weekend.
Cretin-Derham hall high school in St. Paul is where Mauer and Cale played high school baseball. Cale batted 2nd and Joe batted 3rd.... nice mention boys!!
Great work Cole! Keep it up tomorrow!!

Did I just catch a mini-narrative the producer was trying to create by pairing two clips next to each other? The first one: closeup shot of those nice shoes moving through the X-step then the second one of the top player on tour tying his grungy Vans? It’s the artistic details like this that keep me coming back to Jomez. 0:18

I like the idea of homing pigeon disc finder. I went to the website (sold out) and even on youtube, but there is no video on how it works. I was looking into and working out a tracking device for discs last year. But unfortunately I don't think any of them are PDGA legal. I am going to he keep checking in on Homing Pigeon because it basically looks like a sticker not some bulkier poker sized chip on the bottom of your disc. Im sure the range on finding the disc is only 20ish ft though. Great innovation, products will only get better from here on out! May your putts sink, and you never shank. Have an ace of a day my friends!
I think this one those holes after watching both fpo/mpo that ladies should throw from where the drop zone is to give them a better chance at getting the birdie
Did anyone else realize that if this was a skins match, Calvin would have won $1700 (he had the only single birdies on 13 and 17) and pushed with Gannon on 18 with an eagle… give that kid some money 😂💰
Nick name Bradley Williams, Data
42:02 Not getting into the Ricky schene 🤣
I wish they would show what disc the players are using on every shot, not just when they tee off
That little pop Gannon did on 17 was a last second correction cause he kind of baby-armed it.
18:53 You mean you wanna see...how it plays out?
I know he’s incredibly elite and that’s why… but my god how does it always feel like Gannon catches 7 absurd breaks a round?

17:29 "The Operator" like in "the CNC operator". He is programming the machine center, aka himself, then just running the executable and automatically plays like a terminator. It's a process for automating the control of machine tools via software installed in a microcomputer linked to a tool."

Lol at the pigeon sticker disc gadget. It immediately makes your disc illegal for pdga play, and the type of player that would pay hundreds of dollars (literally, go look) for stickers that MIGHT help you find a lost disc are the type of players who need their favorite disc to be pdga legal.

I've been watching this coverage for years and the commentators have not adjusted from their past mistakes and are taking away from the viewing experience. The on coarse camera people could also use a lesson in showing a more accurate depiction of where the disk lands in relation to the basket.

@@NickCarroll I sure hope not...Who needs a distance driving contest every weekend 🤨
@NickCarroll
10 күн бұрын
@@redoso8138 It's rare we play golf courses that are purely challenging from a distance standpoint. Most of them are converted to park style - which combines a mix of distance and accuracy. That's exactly what you want to test the best players in the world. I love wooded holes, and they'll continue to be a part of the tour, but if that's all the pros played - that would be even more boring than the mix we have today, and going forward.
@zopfii90

@NickCarroll

After watching rounds 1 and 2 on the livestream and on Jomez, I have to say, there's a lot of wooded holes on this course. Either partially or fully wooded holes. But it's not remotely accurate to put the Preserve in the same category as ball golf courses. This isn't an all-open course littered with OB, and few-to-no natural challenges. There's no reason to complain this tournament is merely a distance contest just because there is also a number of par 4 and 5 holes, and some open fields. There's plenty of short technical holes and at least 2 solid ace run holes.
Uli - I never practice from the drop zone Jerm - neither do I. Uli - I just play the jomez practice round, that's all I need. Jerm - Totally the same. Discraft, why...innova...why ...Jomez... Why Can't even practice on commentary. Have the time ya jokers are spewing mouth diaherra in the middle of shots. This is why disc golf will.always be a game played by dudes smoking weed and drinking beers
maybe just stick to calling him bradley.
