@@ACarter87bro keep it a buck, you were probably just born in that era so you wouldn't know if it was fun or not. You grew up in this run and gun, no defense era where referees create the superstars by giving them all the free throws they could. For people that actually played the game and appreciate the nuance to it, we see great defense as fun to watch and not referees allowing superstars to travel or receive moving screens to get their tiny selves some space to shoot (looking at curry for this one)
32 pts in this era is basically 55 in today’s game, even better that it came in a crucial game 7 playoff game against CWebb. KG was something different in his prime

KG in today’s era is putting up Giannis numbers
@ninjachannel007

True, but Giannis would dominate in any era. When you’re 6’11 and faster than a PG there is no defense for that. KG would be like Karl Anthony Towns, which isn’t bad.

@jetpackdd

it’s way easier to hit shots inside the line, mastering the midrange is different from the 3 kg had elite rhythm for the midrange he didn’t need to shoot no 3s. the game needs more midrange players like demar and khris middleton

@@jetpackdd That’s fair to an extent. However, there’s many 20-22 foot jumpers that KG took where he could’ve extended it to 3. There’s a difference between normal midrange and deep midrange.

I don't believe Dirk was on KG's level either. He played zero defense and exerted energy only on offense. People don’t even realize that this version of KG is probably the only player ever that can successfully be the focal for a team on both ends of the court. On offense he could pass and shoot like a guard and thanks to his athleticism/touch he was very adept at finishing at the rim; meanwhile on the other end, he’s arguably the most versatile defender ever, a one man defensive blueprint. The variety of ways he could contribute to a team’s success was truly astonishing. I just wish the Wolves did a better job surrounding him with complementary talent during his prime.

I miss these match ups. Prime time KG vsing Chris Webber who was probably more on the come down, still had a really decent season. there were so many and 1s at today's standards
The big ticket
So tired of these blown up stats of today. Scoring 32 out of your teams 83 points is so much more impressive than scoring the same out of 110. If you scaled it up to today he would have around 45 points 28 rebs and 8 blocks.
