My all time favorite Kevin Costner movie. I saw it numerous times at the theater and on tv too. Great.
the way this scene is built is so perfect! You get some hope when Robin and his man fend off Notthingham's first wave and then you see that the second wave is ready with incendiary arrows and catapults and you realize that they are finished!

That's some action-packed scene. Costner knew how to deliver.
This had such a brilliant soundtrack to it!!
Costner did a great job as Robin Hood.

The film takes place in the year of 1199 A. D. Time of when King Richard the 1st. The Lionheart is gone away at war.
They just didn’t count on Nottingham and his men having their arrows dipped in pitch and they were set on fire to destroy the base of Robin Hood and his men
