Kettlebells for Combat: VO2 Max Snatch
Select a weight a few down from the Snatch Test weight. For example, I use a 24KG (53lb) Kettlebell for 100 Snatches in under 5 mins. For this training, I use a 16KG (35lb) bell. Next, set your timer for 15 second intervals. Snatch on one side for 15 seconds, then immediately switch to the other side for the next 15 and once you’re done, rest for 15 seconds. Generally, 7-8 repetitions per side is good. If you’re getting less, the weight is too heavy. If you are getting more, the weight is too light. Gradually increase the amount of sets. In no time, you’ll be over 200 reps. There were instances that we hit over 400 in a session during a VO2 Max cycle. Repeat this cycle as many times as desirable. You will be able to build
