Abused as a child to early adulthood, molested, overdosed, toxic friendships, drug and alcohol addiction, but sober now, surviving epilepsy and being hospitalized, depression, anxiety and panic attack, lost my dad at age 20, talked to cops, almost lost a family member to suicide, but now I’m still here alive and breathing and so grateful and stronger than ever. ❤ Thank you God 🙏🏼

I had the privilege of meeting Kesha during a meditation retreat. It was until after we parted ways I discovered she was an incredibly talented and successful artist. During that time I got to learn some of the context behind these songs - before I even knew they existed. When I heard this song for the first time, I cried. I can honestly say she is one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met and pours her souls into her music.

"There are some things ONLY GOD CAN FORGIVE" I belt out that line every time

This is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard

Without the pain she went through, she wouldn’t have written this song and this song helps millions to process their own traumatic experiences. God is with her and with all of us, even if we can’t see the light, it’s always there beyond the clouds. Thank you Kesha ❤

This song came out the year that me and my sister were facing my dad in court to send him to prison for over 15 years of sexual abuse. Thank you for making this song to help us get through that time ❤️

Yes. This song is a BEAST technically. Most of the time she has a sort of DGAF vibe and looseness that makes people think she’s not technically skilled, but this song is just amazing. It doesn’t sound as impressively difficult as it is because that’s how good she is.

I'm still convinced this woman was robbed of a well-deserved Grammy for Best Song. I mean, Ed Sheeran is fine, he's very talented, and 'Shape of You' is awesome, but honestly I think this (and the whole album 'Rainbow') song was MUCH more impressive. I blocked him from my phone, social media, and from my life. I still feel damaged, but I’m in therapy and I met a man that is beyond amazing and is showing me what it’s like to be in a healthy relationship. 💚

That intro to the video was all of us looking for a purpose and reason to go on. Kesha's song and story is God's sign to keep on going and find our peace. We haven't been abandoned and we have Kesha and each other to lean on and get through what we've been through. I love you all and I hope you've all been healing and finding all the strength you never knew you had. And when the days get tough you have this song and all of us to lift you up and get you to the other side

"I'm proud of who I am" I know most people consider the chorus to be the most impactful words of the song... but in my own opinion, I believe those to be the most important words of the entire song. ❤

I've done many things I regret many things people would judge me for, but I will seek help from God I will work on myself, each time I would have a mental breakdown every time I would pray for me to forgive my trauma he's been giving me the steps to my ladder I just needed to climb them I need to step up more this time I need to be reborn from the filthy sins that I acted upon. He sent me help, my counselor my new friends to comfort me and my family that finally forgives me for the abuse I done all the way until I was 16, my brother and sister knows I wasn't always mentally there for the mental breakdowns they had to witness, they still forgive me, and I forgive all the things people did wrong to me, Ima go to church even when my family isn't planning on going, then I'll go by myself. I need to repent. I'm tired of panic attacks and sudden suicidal thoughts and migraine attacks that would last a whole day. God bless

The first time I heard this song, I had to pull over. Then I cried my eyes out into the steering wheel. This song absolutely nails what it's like to break free from an abusive relationship. She is a legend.

I did the exact same thing first time I heard it 20 mins before going to face professionals who have abused me. I was hysterical but it came at exactly the right minute and gave me incredible strength. Peace.

This is a journey. You are made to survive the pain. Listen to your gut. It will lead you on a new path. Not an easy one but one worth it as it will give you the chance to reconnect to yourself and become the most amazing version of yourself and stronger you ever thought you could be. You might doubt yourself. Keep going 💚

It can be interpreted as a christian song, or questioning god, a positive message, or a negative one, all on lyrics that are so relatable sung in a voice that is so resonating. It is just amazing.

This is one of the most powerful and beautiful pop songs to me and her vocal performance is incredible. Should have been her biggest hit in my opinion when it came out. Everything off Gag Order is also pretty amazing and deeply personal. I just love her pop range and artistry. There's no one quite like Kesha and I'm glad she's in much a better place now ❤️

i needed this.

I wasn't sexually abused but I just got over a 10 yr addiction and I'm clean. This song reminds me of saying goodbye to my addiction. I had to fall on my knees and pray and get my soul right. Love this song.

Mommy And Daughter it's called Auto tune. Not being mean or rude but it's just true lol you can tell the real vocalist from the auto-tune vocalist like Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga for example have true vocals and great voices but people like Kesha just aren't as gifted

I remember when Kesha went silent for so many years. I remember her posting small clips of her singing happy birthday for fans. Saying she wished she could sing more. I remember the photos of her crying in court :( she’s so strong. I cried for her. With this. And for everyone who suffers the torment of life and it’s demons.

this song will do it for me everytime. my dad has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse his entire life, and puts me and my family through hell everyday. and i just pray he gets better. 16 years ive been dealing with his disease and i just wish he would pick me over the drugs sometimes but i will never know how he feels. his childhood was horrible and its not his fault. and he has had mental problems his entire life, and i try to talk to him but all i do is cry. and he apologizes and leaves and i pray he will get better and change. but ill love him either way no matter what. thank you for this song.
