ahhh yes, she put that high note into this song for attention. absolutely, she put a falsetto scream into a song that publically draws attention to what a demonic asshole Dr. Luke, her longtime rapist/abuser, is and how she is strong enough to overcome the literal hell he put her through, and NO, that is not the attention grabber. Nope, it's the cathartic scream that helps this song reach an even more powerful climax. Yep, what an attention-seeking move. Y'all, seriously? Get the fuck outta here. Kesha is healing over here in a beautiful way and you're all being absolute monsters

I love you Kesha. You are a survivor, and this song is an anthem for all of us who were beaten down and made to feel less than our abusers. Thank you for giving all of us some of your strength. 🩷
This song is just evidence that if you work kindly on yourself, you don't have to hold onto the past so tightly. You can let it go. Sure it's not gone forever, but it's like a balloon, tied to your person. It follows you, you don't follow it.❤ Kesha is currently saving my life.

EVERYONE WHO KEEPS SAYING THAT SHE DIDNT HIT THE HIGH NOTE ITS HER SONG SHE CAN DO WHATEVER THE FRICK SHE WANTS. She also said that it took her 10ish tries to get the high note in the studio. This is a live performance she only has one try and she wants to wait until she masters it so she doesn't mess up the whole performance with on note.
@emilya.stroman3697
6 жыл бұрын
Even if she does "master" it, you're never going to hit a note like that reliably all the time. Especially when she goes on tour, she'll be singing so often that her voice is going to get fatigued. You'll notice that many touring singers tune songs down or improvise lower melodies because doing it night after night takes its toll on your vocal cords. Talent can't overcome pure physiology, and a singer needs to know their voice.

I remember hearing this when it was first release (this exact live version). It puts to shame the studio release. And 6 years on I go back to it because like a real good film it moves you. Not in a religious way, but with pure emotion and art in it's best form. The layered instrument introduction and the drums only when needed not only compliment Kesha's vocals (perhaps the best I've ever heard her sing) but add weight and emotion I'd not seen from her before. For thos who are struggling, had loss, or are dealing with a mental chalange, know this - Pain is hard and it's scary, but boy does it build strength and resilience like nothing else can. When you come out the other side, and you will.... thats when you truely know who you are and what you're truly capable of.

Now we know the original meaning of Ke$ha's TiK ToK. She was telling us we'd need to wait longer for the real Kesha to arrive
Wow... it cut me deep. She wrote those lyrics leaving her heart in Gods hands.

Why am I just now finding this 😭😭🙌🏻🙌🏻🎶🎶🎶
I have found a new appreciation for "Kesha" after this song came out. "Ke$ha"s music was played at college parties and raves. But "Kesha" is now a soulful, emotional, amazing singer. I never knew she had that angelic voice because I always heard her doing a type of rap or something. I was met with a big surprise when I found out that the song on the radio was her. She is fucking amazing

I absolutely love this song...I dedicated it to my biological mother who left me at a young age due to drugs...and for years I’ve chased her begging for her love and to call me her daughter after she came back and claimed my brothers but never came back for me...she would say she was coming to get me for a sleepover and I would sit in front of that door with my little backpack just waiting...she never came...I grew into an damaged, angry, hositile, confused adult...who struggled with my own addiction...all I wanted to ever know is that she loved me....that I mattered...and to this day I still can’t get that...I hope your soul is changing...I hope you find your peace 🖤

Sometimes someone writes lyrics that could have been taken from your own life, from the secrets you whisper only to yourself and to God in the privacy of your mind and prayers. THIS SONG is that for me and for hundreds of mullions of victims and survivors around the world. Thank you Kesha, even though you may never see this, I'm still sending it out to you, to the universe, in hopes that some of my thankful energy will make it to you and be another drop in the well you draw your strength and healing from. Bless your soul girl, bless it real good
Lyrics Well, you almost had me fooled Told me that I was nothing without you Oh, but after everything you've done I can thank you for how strong I have become 'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell I had to learn how to fight for myself And we both know all the truth I could tell I'll just say this is "I wish you farewell" I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin' I hope your soul is changin', changin' I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees, prayin' I'm proud of who I am No more monsters, I can breathe again And you said that I was done Well, you were wrong and now the best is yet to come 'Cause I can make it on my own, oh And I don't need you, I found a strength I've never known I'll bring thunder, I'll bring rain, oh When I'm finished, they won't even know your name You brought the flames and you put me through hell I had to learn how to fight for myself And we both know all the truth I could tell I'll just say this is "I wish you farewell" I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin' I hope your soul is changin', changin' I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees, prayin' Ah sometimes, I pray for you at night, oh Someday, maybe you'll see the light Whoa oh, some say, in life, you're gonna get what you give But some things only God can forgive Yeah! (I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin') I hope your soul is changin', changin' I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees, prayin' Source: LyricFind

She didn't do the whistle note because it took her 10 times just to do it in the studio version. She needs to keep practicing the note and make sure she doesn't ruin anything with her voice while doing it. I'm just happy she's not lip syncing it like other artists do!

no name that was not a falsetto lol that register is too damn high for a falsetto, if anything it's a head voice or whistle but no it literally took her forever to get the note right for the studio version.

WoWaddictChristina yeah ignore him he's just trying to make Kesha look bad. Saying she has to prove herself?! Like it's music if you don't like her song cause she doesn't do it live then move along. I rather her note damage her vocal chords and sing than her hit a note over and over and never sing the same again like Mariah(well we know her story but lol)

For all the negative comments, my sister went through something similar to keysha, my sis wasn’t even a fan but when she heard this performance from her she related and broke down. She was singing from the deepest part of her soul. And that says a lot.
For all the haters talking about autotune let me explain u something, AUTOTUNE DOESNT CREATE NOTES, IF SHE HAD A HIGH NOTE IN THE STUDIO VERSION IS BECAUSE SHE HIT IT. Autotune only corrects the tone so stop fucking hating her. EDIT i have never had so many likes in a comment lol

Hmm Autotune is a software created by Antares, there are many other pitch correcting softwares available some with the ability to take a note and pitch it to a different note etc, however I think she sang this note after many attempts in the studio and probably had a little tuning to help it along, but its not even a big deal.. i do wish she sang it live or had playback do it live or backing singers do it live whilst she does the octave lower so you still get the impact it has.. but probably feared the backlash of idiots who complain about her using "autotune".
@matutahoot
6 жыл бұрын
I asked the producer of the song and he said they refused to put editing on her voice because they wanted to keep the raw emotion. No pitch correction or auto tune was involved in that song. If it were produced by Dr.Luke however, it would have been filled with it. She has control over her music now.

Mateo Diaz so who is the producer and how exactly did you get in contact with him, seems like bs to me. She has good vocals but I doubt she can recreate the high note on the spot. There's no point trying to cover for her, she's well able to sing but not recreate an extremely hard note to hit (for her) when her voice struggled with some of the higher notes here

I agree :) Although, she took the $ out of her name and is just Kesha now, because the $ was linked to her bad times :(
So beautiful! I hate that beauty at times has to come from tragedy. Beauty should always lead to more beauty. Her voice is phenomenal. I love the points where she shows its depth.
For those of you talking about her not hitting the high note- Kesha went on in an interview talking about how it took her ten times in the studio to hit that note for the album version. Try hitting that note it's really hard lol. Some people can do it sometimes and not others. All it means is her range is just on the cusp of allowing her to hit it. Nothing wrong if she doesn't want her voice to crack live, she said it did the first nine times she tried it in studio. Idk what you guys are hearing bc I think she sounds absolutely amazing. Amazing babe x
