I love Demi but I think Kerli should be known for writing this.

This is seriously so much better than Demi's version. Kerli wrote this song so she should be known for this song instead of Demi

Kerli Koiv wrote these lyrics. Look at all the lyrics she wrote in that time period. Now look at any lyrics that Toby Gad or Lindy Robbins have written...are there any? It's clear that these are Kerli's lyrics.

Kerli wrote this song~!!! Demi shouldn't get all of the fame for it. A real artist writes their own music!

I love Demi Lovato, don't get me wrong. Demi wouldn't have sung this song if it wasn't for Kerli. Kerli wrote it. Kerli did an amazing job singing it just as well as Demi did. Both very great artists and Kerli should be bigger than she is now.

in Demi Lovato's Stay Strong documentary she clearly stated that before she went to rehab she was offered this song & she wanted to sing this because she could feel the emotion. then when she came out of rehab she didn't feel the emotional part of it anymore. she didn't write this song. Kerli did. Demi just bought the rights & sings it.

There are lots of artists that have written songs for other artists like Sia. They do get paid for doing the songwriting work and are not necessarily seeking the fame or "credit" for it. I think the reason the industry is this way is because people really do get so judgemental if a singer does not write their own songs (just look at the comments). Songwriting is definitely a skill and so is performing.

Btw people should know that kerli was the one who made the song first but then they lost it cause someone gave it to Demi

I hear a lot about how Demi went through this and that. Got help and now is better. I'm glad Demi can now be a role model for others. But Kerli had went thru a bad childhood...she was raised in an abusive household. Her dad beat her mom...and they would times that she tried suicide. I'm not saying one's better then the other...I like them both. They both went thru hard times and got thru it and became stronger people. I admire them for that. I been in that deep hole feeling darkness around u but pushing to get back up. They both inspired others. I like the way Demi sang Skyscraper but I almost admire that Kerli wrote it from experience. So I appreciate them both...Kudos to two strong women.

And all it takes is Kerli. I like Kerli's studio version, and we won't even discuss the Demi version, not even half, really. But Kerli proves that even with only one pretty bad guitar player she can rock it.

Kerli singing this song makes it amazing with knowing her life's story. Others make it just words in a song, Kerli gives it a soul.
