They both suck, min heejin messed with investors and shareholders in an illegal way to make her company independent which is a very dumb move because you can be taken to court for that as she used the illegal route and there’s evidence on Adors VP computer and Hybe is just as bad because they knew about min heejins plan for a while and they didn’t do anything to protect new jeans, ILLIT and bts. The victims here are the idols.

HYBE should have kept all this drama in-house, instead they decided to leak it to the public so they could be the first to shape the narrative on public opinion. MHJ ain’t innocent either, but this shouldn’t have been leaked. Guess HYBE was feeling a lot of pressure from all the months of criticism they needed to get ahead of any more potential issues. Still, it was abhorrent to make this all public the way it happened so close to New Jeans comeback.

@@greentofuhousehere’s the thing. Yeah she was talking to people to convince them to buy out shares and stuff, but that’s not how this works. HYBE would’ve had to actually sell these shares so at the end of the day it wouldn’t have mattered if she had 100 people lined up to buy shares in Ador if there aren’t any for sale. Unless she was planning to sell hers without clearing it with the board, and that’s just not what she was doing. So there really was no reason for HYBE to go out of their way to put out a public statement. While I’m not a MHJ fan and don’t agree with some of the things she’s done, HYBE 100% is making a play and covering their asses and trying to discredit her. MHJ definitely knows way too much about that company, I’d say she knows enough to bring down their share price and have another company come in and buy them out. And maybe that is ultimately her plan, who knows. All I know is HYBE has been behaving mighty sus since they became HYBE and had that whole situation with SM. Literally what they’re accusing MHJ of doing in regards to the investors is what HYBE tried to do with SM. They can get tf right out with that bs. Bunch of hypocrites.

Both HYBE and Min Heejin are all to blame. Both parties have dirty hands in all this. Only thing I dislike is, whether you like MHJ or not, she really does care about NewJeans and has put all her effort in them 120%, and if (or more likely when) she's gone, HYBE will support NJ, but they're not going to put that same effort on NJ the way MHJ has since their beginnings.

That is not true considering New Jeans was given about 4x the budget of Le sserafim for debut. Also, he is not the CEO of Hybe. He's the producer for LSF, while MHJ is the producer for NJ.

HYBE got all the needed information to prove Garam wasn't guilty of school bullying and what do they do they kick her out of the group and which gave LL a boost in attention.

BigHit and BTS created HYBE while she was still at SM Entertainment. Honestly at least get the time line in the right order. She's an extremely well paid employee who was offered 18%shares in the label Ador as part of her package as an employee of HYBE those shares were offered to her below market value. She's bitten the hand that graciously feed her. Where do you think the money to put New Jeans together it came from HYBE. The woman's a complete snake in the grass. She's refused to comply with a legal request that the company gave her. The company has to do an audits and emergency one's if they suppect mis conduct from by law because of the share holders. She as an employee has to comply yet she's still with holding HYBE property the laptop. If she's nothing to hide she'll do it straight away like a good employee. The woman would have been removed by security and by now if her behaviour had been displayed in any other company. She's extremely unprofessional. She's giving Business women a bad name not only that she's not even thinking about the welfare of those young girls either. I hope her unprofessionalism doesn't harm New Jeans or any other group within the HYBE corporation she's already made their share price drop.

honestly, i don't know much about the situation between MHJ and HYBE, but seeing a CEO of a company acting as if she doesn't have any power or bear any responsibility for her own actions and decisions is disheartening. I assume it was her decision to debut underage artists and give them a song like 'cookie'. She is a CEO with a lot of experience in the industry but she acts more immature than her child idols.

There’s nothing shocking about a company in a competitive market such as KPop, asking one if it’s contracted employees if she can crush the competition - non-violently! I completely agree, she harms NewJeans image way more than what she contributes to it, at least in my opinion. I never supported the group, never listened to their music on streaming platforms, never watched any MV because of her. There's always corruption where big $ is involved. Always!

From the press conference I see that both Hybe and Miss Min are both terrible money hungry people. Min revealed a lot of surprising things about hybe and Mr Bang. I just hope new jeans will be taken care of good because I can see Miss Min actually takes care of them and I can see the members really love her. I just hope nothing will affect newjeans but the terrible people involved.

It's not even considered plagiarism to use a concept... Otherwise many artists could be accused of it. Plagiarism is stealing copyrighted content without permission. They could get called out for copying at best but that's not illegal. It's not like they tried to recreate the group and their songs

I thought kep1ar already disbanded earlier this year. It feels like every month i see news of them disbanding.

I find it so weird how Mhj has a parent like relationship with her employees who are or were underage. Idk it’s so weird to me. It would be different if she really cared for them but stayed professional but she did not. Not only that ppl being angry about HYBE securing the members brand deals to compete with other groups is so confusing to me bc that’s how marketing works?? The business side in kpop isn’t about rainbows and butterflies and while there are many things that are not okay the way they are it’s still business.

So I went to watch some clips of her at the press conference and read the Korean comments and my opinion changed completely. I think she is a very impulsive and emotional person, the typical art major who is crazy about her work. So she put her heart into creating New Jeans. Meanwhile Bang Sihyuk wanted to use her name to promote the girl group he created Le sserafim. Unexpected to him, New Jeans was a MASSIVE hit. And here the problems lies, his ego was effected. When New jeans did so well he asked her “Are you happy…” he was probably so jealous. What made it worse was that Min Heejin was not submissive to him and complained when she felt that Illit was copying New Jeans style. That was the last straw and then this fiasco blew up. Her trying to take over the company with only an 18% share is not realistic. I think she was just complaining in those text messages and letting her imagination run wild. Hybe and Bang Si Hyuk used those messages to frame her as trying to take over the company. To sum it up: Hybe recruited Min Hee him because they wanted her name to promoted Le sserafim. They got her to agree by giving her some of Source musics trainees and letting her do what she wanted with them. However, New Jeans (le sserafim step sister) became a massive hit which embarrassed Hybe CEO who put so much effort into his girl group le sserafim. Like the step sister outshining the princess. Min hee Jin is an artistic and emotional person and she didn’t know how to play the political game and such up to Hybe. So hybe decided to get red of her and slander her in the press by releasing her private messages and publishing articles full of character assassination. The reason NJ didn’t have any promotion before releasing their first music videos is because Hybe didn’t want to promote them, they only wanted to promote Le sserafim. Although the public sees NJ success they were actually neglected by hype who at first didn’t promote them because they wanted to focus on Le sserafim and then tried to diminish their popularity by making a very similar group called Illit. Wow sorry for the long comment guys. I suggest find videos of the press conference and just translating the Korean comments until the conference video get English subs. Just reading the transcript doesn’t give you a good idea of min hee jin’s side of the story

@@oreoslush Cookie was inappropriate. Most of New Jeans songs are made by western writers and producers and then adapted by companies. I think Cookie was probably written as a sexy sing for a more mature artist but didn’t end up getting chosen. My guess is that Min hee Jin and her team really liked the song and thought the international community would look past the lyrics if they have the song a cute vibe… that was DUMB of her. Cookie is such an obvious metaphor for western people, but it’s not in Korea. That’s why you didn’t see any backlash from Korea on this issue, because cookie doesn’t mean anything different to them. Seeing as how conservative Korea is, if they thought there was innuendo NJ would have really suffered. As for her saying that groups copied her, she definitely felt that Illit’s creative director and the people working at Be:lift (the Hybe subsidiary which produced Illit) had copied her. New Jeans parents felt that way too. That’s why she did the official thing which was to file a complaint within the company. We all know Hybe did not like that because a few days later Hybe ordered an audit of Ador and asked her to step down. As for me personally, I 100% think that be:lift copied NJ styling. The fresh youth concept, the long straight black hair, the intense dance with mellow songs, and the MOST damning of all is the photo shoots. Whatever photo shoot NJ did, they had Illit do. As an artist and creative director, I think be-lift went too far. I think western people don’t care about this issue too much because in general we feel that Kpop as a whole is copying pop. As for Min Hee Jin saying other groups copied her, those are unfounded rumours. She denied saying that BTS copied her in the press conference, but so many articles are popping up saying stuff like ‘Min hee Jin accuses BTS of copying her’ WHY? Because hybe knows army will grind her to dust for saying that. And as you probably have seen, on the western side of social media, since the full press conference video hasn’t been translated, she is getting torn to shreds because so many people are reading these unfounded articles

You can stop trying to be on the hype train of Lia returning. JYP still has the same statement on the subject that they did when Lia departed. She will NOT be returning until after this cycle and world tour are complete. If you want to say that she was spotted, go ahead. If you want to say that she is missed, go ahead. If you're trying to say "Urmahgurd! She's back." Please just stop and refer to the official announcement that has not and will not be changing. Then just stop talking. Thank you!

Update. Just checked to verify and nothing else has been released on her return. Apparently what some people say is what they mean. She will not be returning until AFTER the group gets done with their world tour. That gives us an earliest possible date of June 26 2024. Just stop trying to spread false hope about something that's not happening.

When BSH could've shown support when New Jeans made it to the billboard top 100, based on the exchange shown during the conference it didn't seem like it. There was an exchange between BSH and MHJ where he asked "are you happy?" instead of congratulating her and New Jeans for making it to the billboard top 100. Honestly, if I got message like that from my boss, I would feel really uncomfortable because obviously this person isn't happy for my success. What kind of person asks another person if they're happy in a situation where they would be?

I'm not siding with either but I'm wondering why now though. Why does HYBE want to gain or regain control of New Jeans now and not before? Is it because of LE SSERAFIM's live vocal situation and now newly debut girl group ILLIT didn't do as well as they hope for during encore stages while other debuting groups are doing better vocally for example KISS OF LIFE and BabyMonster. Is that why they want to regain full control of New Jeans because they did super well with aesthetic concept and they could hold themselves during Live @ Lollapalooza 2023? That way they can say and claim HYBE has vocal talent? If only they didn't drop GFriend because there vocal were amazing. I still like all the girl groups mentioned and will continue supporting them no matter what happens with the ongoing feud. I just hope the girls are okay, doesn't get stuck in the middle and continue getting vocal and dance lessons so they can strive for better and don't come into scrutiny. Letting HYBE take control of the girls I hope their vocals won't regress like LE SSERAFIM Yunjin. She used to be able to belt and sing but now it seems hard for her to sing. It just doesn't look as easy or smooth as it was before. But then I heard about Min hee jin's past, her tatics and the song Cookie. I simply don't know but wonder why now.

Is it an irony that the way New Jeans was debuted out of nowhere is actually very unique and eye catching? You can’t deny it. Their image is absolutely refreshing and their styling and mv is just something we haven’t seen a long time. They are here to stay.

I don't know but kep1er has neven been part of my interests unlike other kpop groups.

Seems like every label other than YGE, be it staffs/idols seemed to have public drama regarding the label. In YG if there ever was a mess it was on individual level which did affect the label but eventually had both the label and artist returning to their zone. Artists were already so able that no matter who leaves they make a name. But other than that, there has been no complaint with the label Which makes me feel yet again of how strong familial zone they put themselves in. No one is allowed from outside. Statements are made acc to them. And if someone leaves it's on their own account and they still live and do well.

New Jeans is in trouble with what Min Heejin is doing, I think she really wants to get out of HYBE but I doubt Bang Si Hyuk will let go of New Jeans

There is no Kepler disbandment because they weren't a permanent group to begin with.

Exactly, the group is a temporary group just like all the other produce series group. Usually a survival show that involves multiple companies trainees will only accept temporary terms.

bang sihyuk is pushing the already existing groups into a fckin shithole just because he is so fixated on creating westernized music - the collabs with western artits, singles/albums in english - it's all BS because those releases are not even that good and are charting internationally just because of strong fanbases and nothing else - those releases have almost no value to music industry as such... I am not saying this as a hater but as a fan of most HYBE groups but I'm dissapointed in how they promote themselves and the groups... everything looks fine on the outside and yet shitstorm like this happens MHJ did something groundbreaking with introducing NWJNS and we all know that since everyone LOVED them since the very beginning - there are some questionable comments made by her but no one can deny that she revived the power of gg with NWJNS - at least that's how I see it - no other gg has made such a huge impact in the recent years and no one does their promo and production like ador does I just hope all the artist involved are OK and will not be harmed by this
