African Traveller I cant stress how impactful your content is man. I'm a 22 Y/O Kenyan living here in the states.. & like Charles - I Also work in Tech & luckily got into crypto really early -- However .. I'm planning to move back Home within 3 years & Its hard for my family/peers/friends to understand why I would want to do so, when I'm this young and on such a lucrative track here...... But this video - HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD .... (1) --- No matter the amount of resources & wealth I can attain here in the states. People don't seem to Grasp the fact that Africa is getting ready to explode economically within the next few decades and there's opportunity everywhere (The 4th Industrial Revolution - Is in Africa ) ...... And If you're a diaspora - you DO NOT want to miss out on your chance to get a piece of the pie that's rightfully yours. (2) -- Charles is 100% correct when he says.. "THERES SOMETHING KENYANS HAVE - YOU CAN NOT SATISFY OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY" lol --- I know the emptiness he's referencing. #PROUD KENYAN Charles really lit a fire underneath me when he said - "Don't come here with back up plans to go back" - "Burn your Ships" LOL The more I watch your channel @Afrikan Traveller - The shorter that 3 year timeline gets Hahaha .....I'll most likely start a KZread channel and document my journey / return to Kenya - to motivate the other kenyan Diaspora Youth to do the same... I Will be in Kenya this December & I'll have to stop by and see this place for sure.. Keep up the great work.

He is 1000000% right - There is no need to leave the continent to go somewhere else. Africa has so many riches, peace of mind and value. This man has been there and knows what he is talking about. The value of Africa is immeasurable. I have been in the US for 30+ yrs and dying to leave to go anywhere in Africa. HE is telling the truth.

My brother worked for a company that runs the rest stops and vendors in the airports & train stations. This is such a great opportunity they have jumped on and I’ll definitely be passing by once I’m back visiting. Always happy to see a former diaspora thriving in Kenya 🇰🇪 And what he said about the social aspect on Kenya vs USA is so true, Kenya has such a strong community while the US it’s seclusive.

I honestly believe all of Africa is very social. I’m from South Africa, I have family in different African countries and we say the same thing. We miss the social aspect of home. Even expats notice just how much friendlier and welcoming people are.

@@fionagowan453 very true...visited Joburg in 2012 and enjoyed it so much. There's so much in common across the continent especially on the social aspect.
I grow up in Rural Limpopo province south Africa, my role models were NOT south African in Europe or America but same black south African who grow up in same rural area and become a lawyer, nurse, medical doctor...etc, I'm 27 years old now and I only meet 1 black south African who was working in Saudi Arabia as nurse in my whole life, two years ago I did learn about other African who leave their home country and go to US to have a baby so that their children can have US citizenship,I believe general many African are not proud of their Homeland...is not bad idea to travel and explore the world but is important that African build their own home country because NO one will do that for them, imagine all Kenyan in Europe or America choose to invest in Kenya and build Kenya like this couple ??

Good stuff however I would like to give a correction kindly. You didn't introduce the wife by her names or give her the opportunity to introduce herself if you hadn't mastered her name. During the interview whenever you wanted her to give her opinion, you would say 'maybe your wife can tell us' or something of the sort. Let us do better on such issues. Thanks.
Thank you for featuring this wonderful place. I was in Kenya with my wife recently and we stopped here several times on our way to and from Naivasha. They have great food, coffee, and clean facilities. I wouldn’t have known the story without your vlog. Well done. My wife and I are trying to figure a way to move to Kenya. My wife is form Naivasha and I am American. I know what they mean about the “social aspect” of Kenya. It is what we lack here in the states. Keep up the great work.

I was listening to a Kenyan podcast where the hosts were telling their guest a black American that Indians and foreigners own the businesses in Kenya. This is a false narrative I keep hearing from several quarters because I know from travelling to different African countries, Kenyans are among the most business minded people I have come across. That is why such content is very important. If you can show us more of such (businesses run by locals), it will be a great addition to your AT brand.
