Kenyan police fired teargas at dozens of protesters and blocked off streets leading to the presidential palace on Thursday as small demonstrations continued in several cities, even after the president bowed to pressure to withdraw a tax hike bill.

This is the Kenya people voted for. I don't vote, but I did campaign for Mwai Kibaki because I studied economics in the USA, and to assure Kenyans have a better life. The people who voted for Ruto are getting exactly what they deserve. I have no sympathy for them. They voted for someone who had a case at the International Criminal Court at the Hague, and someone claiming to be a hustler. Who is getting killed now, and who is getting hustled. I don't vote, but I did campaign for Kibaki because I wanted all Kenyans to have a better life, and they did under his leadership. If you make your bed, you have to sleep in it. I don't regret campaigning for Kibaki, as he did a good service for Kenyans. To be President is to serve a country. It is not to be a dictator, who kills and steals.
