Kenya is one of Africa's major tea producers. Traditionally, wood is used as fuel to dry the tea leaves. Tebesonik is a company that uses briquets made of waste sugar cane. They are more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

    This is great initiative, for country like Kenya. There can not be anything better where waste can be so effectively utilized as fuel. Very impressed to see this happening. Great Initiative, Great Hope for Kenya.

    Bagasse can also be used as substitute for pulp which is used to manufacture paper...That will reduce the cutting of tress to some extent...

    @@CarsSupercars well yah ,and reason why Kenya is 3rd behind China and India whom have bigger land mass and huge population is primarily due to those 2 reasons.

    Great Idea, I'm so in love with this. As an environmentalist, I always love ideas that reduce carbon emissions, I love all things circular economy. Imma make sure I do something tangible in Nigeria with this information.

    There are others way to have green energy. Wast organic is the best on my opinion. Also, I have a QST about something I realized in Africa, why farmers always wear white? Are they in a lab or clinic? I never understood it can someone explain it to me?
