Sanosuke is really a great friend to Kenshin through thick and thin! Plus he's the life of the party! He gives his all in every battle. I also admire Misao's fights in this movie, she's really powerful as well. Kudos to Tsuchiya Tao for her awesome stunts. As always, Takeru is really the perfect actor to play as Kenshin. He's born to be Himura Kenshin.

these movies are a masterpiece. the choreographies are outstanding, the acting is superb, and I love the fact that besides the action they added some drama, love and comedy to the story..All the cast, director and producers deserve much credit for these films.

@@norreanelucypadmencie5113 Be glad it was not. If Hollywood or Netfix was involved in creation of this movie,, it wouldn't have been watchable. This movie is great because it was created by Japanese creators who are indeed fans of the original manga, who understand how strong and significant the story is, care about the storytelling part and want to make it justice, work hard to create unbelievable yet still realistic fighting scenes and are careful about the historical background.

So glad I found the Kenshin series. This is the best action series ever. It's about honor, humility, atonement, forgiveness, friendship and love. It's the story of the most fearsome assassin ever who steps away from killing and lives his life to protect others. A quiet and humble young man who faces evil without fear. It's the story good people standing together against bad. it's the story of honor and courage of the Samurai. It displays the power of character we all want to find in ourselves. Watch it with subtitles (in the order they were released), you won't be disappointed.

This actor nails Kenshin so well and the fight choreography is beyond words outstanding. Kenshin moves like the wind, exactly the way he should! Then everyone else starts showing up to help. It's different, but it works! Misao brings Oniwabanshu, Saito brings police, Sano shows up even though he looks half-dead, everything is perfect.

Sure in the beginning of that movie Himura Battousai kill all samurai in the dojo with a katana hold by his mouth just like John Wick use a pencil. :)) The warriors in this video clip are so lucky that now Himura use a back-blade sword.

The dodging at the beginning is totally Kenshin style. For one of my top anime of all time the choreography And production is superb.

If you pay attention to Kenshin's mid-level boss opponents (Metal claw guy, shooting mini arrows guy and the explosives guy), you might (hopefully) see them again (in a different version of sorts in "The Beginning" when it finally comes out a few weeks from now. They greatly mirror Kenshin's opponents back in those days. All these based on my memory of the OVA Trust and Betrayal.

The whole saga is really amazing. Everyone who made the movies has my respect. And Takeru really was amazing. Thank you for this masterpiece

Seeing Sano, Saito and Misao all showing up to clear the way is great I live for moments like that

Saito....walks in so calm and collected cigarette dangling from his mouth...this is my job......the epitome of cool

I love misao XD all you see at first are her tiny little feet running on a roof then takes down several armed swordsmen all while carrying a side convo w kenshin. Shes the best 😂

Thank you Netflix for this movie. By the way, Tomoe's brother is so handsome....

I love these films! I'm in awe of the actor who plays Kenshin and how they do the fight scenes. The actors are incredible.

The way the protagonist hold his sword.... Like pro swordman is one of the most coolest thing I've ever saw in my life.....

Sano is the life of these movies he so great in character

people keep forgetting that Misao was part of Onibawanshu. she's a skilled fighter y'all.

One of the best swords movie. The duel with Inishi was on next level.

I JUST discovered this series last week, saw Origins, Loved it. Saw part 1,liked a lot and" Inferno" and its "Ending" were SWEET. Dude has a Bruce Lee type of Smoothness to his Swordfights, a Damn Joy to behold. These flicks are Not so "over the top" like most Anime type movies. This is pretty grounded and EXTREMELY well done. Can't wait to watch this one,this Weekend👍

1:08 I love this part that he fought them 1 by 1 in a narrow spot. As that's realistic and can be done in a real fight. They can't fight at the same time as the spot is narrow for them to fit and fight him at the same time.

Kenshin actually explains this very thing to Yahiko in the anime, about how if you're up against impossible numbers, running down a narrow alley or something where the enemy has to line up in front of you is the best way to deal with 'em.

Still the greatest live action movie series to come from manga/anime. Granted it helps that not much special effects are needed due to the action being martial arts/sword fighting with fantastical human fears added in, but the choreography, the camera work, and the physical acting from everyone involved, so much fun to watch and must’ve been a blast to work on.

I love how Saito looks like such a badass in these films

Sanosuke is the most badass, strongest yet sadistic side character in this series. I'm happy he exist 😁

It's done in Kyoto Inferno...vs makoto shisio...and the enemies are getting stronger than shisio.

I just watched this on Netflix, this has the best fighting scenes I have ever seen in my life. I pray to God ,that the people that put these fighting scenes together have something to do with SHANG-CHI.

Now that's how you do a choreography where many enemies attacks all at once at the same time...

I was always a fan of this particular Samurai Manga..... but I NEVER expected this movie to be that good!!!

The Beginning is much better than this.

The amount of people in the comments who complained about the lack of blood astounds me. Please know the background before complaining. He uses a reverse blade sword because he swore to never kill again. Meaning his sword is not sharp. If you want to see blood, you have to watch Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning. That's when he was still an assassin. You'll see the blood there.

Great Story Line, Love Story was a true masterpiece. Amazing 👏

I finally got my hands on #2 and #3 movies. Only available on DVD. Hopefully Netflix acquires those as well. But for now, DVD is it. Magnificent!!

I think what I love about this is the fact kenshin just keeps moving. Even if he stops it's only for about 2 seconds and back to action again

Everyone's gangster 'till Saito Hajime walks in..

If you ever notice, in the first 2 Kenshin movies, Takeru's arms were bigger. I assume it was because of the rigorous sword training he took for the role. The best anime live action..

It was intense with superb choreography. I watched with tears coz it brings back memories. Ty for this

I watched all of them except for The final. They are all incredible. But so far, my favorite is Origins and the Beginning. All battle scenes were awesome. But they all had so much more. The Beginning had me crying like a baby! I haven't watched The Final because I couldn't bear the thought of the brother of his beloved being so ruthless. Eventually, I will watch it.

Goodness I loved this movie!

Wait-wait-wait! Does this mean the final two movies are out?! Came here as soon as I saw the notification! Just the thumbnail already looks so good. ^^

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final is already out last June 18 on Netflix. Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning will be released on Netflix this coming July 30.

I think it was really intentional for them to release The Beginning as a look back as to how it all began and Kenshin's story in the past. Parang pinapakita nila na lahat ng mga nangyari at kung bakit si Kenshin ay naging ganyan dahil sa mga nangyari sa kaniya noong una. Kung paano hinubog ang views or principles in life niya. Yan ang interpretasyon ko. The writer & director made the movies knowing that the audience are mainly Rurouni Kenshin fans and they are already familiar with the stories and characters. Pero opinion ko lang po ito. Hindi ko po sinasabi na tama talaga ako. Mas bet lang nilang maging last ang The Beginning siguro.

I love the Kenshin story. I get why he doesn’t kill anymore but these bad dudes keep coming back because he doesn’t kill them. It’s not like these guys are going to become good after losing to him. Like Jin and this dude with the claw hands.

Saito just walks casually and tells Kenshin its his job made me laugh.

Atleast it respected the legacy of the creator of that specific anime and the manga that comes before it.

He has speed and accuracy. And that makes Kenshin even more dangerous. Moreover, he can push all the strength to his sword to become very hard and turn into a bloody hit. That technique is only mastered by a hiten-mitsurugi ryu heir as spoken by Hiko Seijuro (Kenshin's sensei).

Bruh, if Kenshin didn't had a reverse-blade. This could have been a bloodbath.
