Love Kenny, I only disagree on the part that he said they got called that cause it was the peak of when people cared about it. Eminem and Kendrick weren’t rising or at their peaks at the same time. So hip hop would have to have two peaks of people caring about it for that to be the case. Eminem gets it cause he’s white and that’s rare. Kendrick got the same compliment after the control beef. Nobody responded very well and he just got the label by default.

Bro for me denzel JPEG and mac are my goats currently but I feel like overtime peoples taste changes and more styles open up. Kendrick goes down as a goat but I’m not going to consistently group him with current people. GOAT to me doesn’t just focus on lyrical ability too. Overall influence/popularity, flow, creativity, unique compositions, consistent development and successful changes of style over a career, strength/length of discography, etc etc etc. Kendrick definitely has it IMO. He and like 5 other rappers (again all IMO) can SERIOUSLY be considered the GOAT

But how does this make sense old heads be calling pac and big the best. It's literally just a wait your turn kind of thing. When the next genration be in there 20s to 30s we gonna be having new goat discussions. A decade is a long time to be considered a goat rapper and be relevant. Maybe I'm wrong but I think this is just normal. For example in my mind JID is a goat just waiting on more Beautiful art from him.

There hasn’t been a single artist since 2017 thats made anything worthy of a greatest of all time title. I can see why he’d think that. It’s not as subjective as you think though. When people see greatness, they recognize it and it’s inspiring. They just don’t make them like they used to

i prefer kennys music over kendricks and I think he is an amazing rapper but I dont believe hes to Kendricks level when it comes to pure rap skill. and i think eminem is above both of them in that category as well.

Kenny, Denzel, JID, and Joey Bada$$ are all amongst the few rappers who could be compared to Kendrick imo. Same with J. Cole. Obviously Kendrick is much more complex, but that isn’t all that’s important.
