Great stuff Dave👍👏👏 The King had the press eating out of his hands! Just a little story about this interview a good friend of my Dad's worked at Melwood around this time and I remember him telling my Dad Martin Tyler had interviewed Kenny after a win away at Aston Villa (must be this one) and although Kenny was guarded about his private life here, he was about to become a father for the 4th time and rushed off to call to see if Marina was OK after the interview. I think their daughter was born a week or two later.

I stole his 'at the end of the season we will count all the points up and see who wins the league' quote. I think it was before the cup final he was asked if the thought Liverpool had a chance to win '(shrugs) well it's only us or Wimbledon - so we've a good a chance as any'

Amazing to see Kenny enjoying such a special season as that one was, even though we didn’t quite manage the double again. He had all the energy and hope for the future of the football club at that point. None of the pressure and overwhelming sadness from ‘89 onwards that ultimately led to his resignation in ‘91. What if, indeed.

I was at the West Ham game, I must admit I didn't notice Grobbelaar wearing the red nose. Given some of the antics in his early Liverpool career, some might have said that he should have been wearing a full clown's ensemble to match!

@@jonathancole833 Everton use sing to him 'you're a clown'. Yeah I remember it was pictured in the Pink that night as well. I remember the Kop laughing as he put it on. And I remember Liam Brady being class for them. Can't remember yesterday like.
