“I’m so sorry,” I blurted out.
“For what?” said the 6’7” figure staring back at me.
“Staying in the attic,” I said. “The hiding, the lying. Eating all of the insulation in the attic walls. I just really love The Cave KZread series.”
He blinked, then responded “Bro… what the fuck are you talking about?”
I rushed to explain myself. “Kenny, I never meant to be there for that long, I just found a life in there that I never knew was possible.”
He blinked again.
“Who the fuck is Kenny?” he asked, genuinely confused.
Now I was confused.
“...Who are you?” I asked, dumbfounded.
He leaned in toward me and smiled.
“Have you ever prayed for inspiration?”
“Yes.”
“Well, I am the one you prayed to. Every artist that has ever made anything classic or iconic? I blessed them with that spark. Pablo Picasso. Leonardo Da Vinci. Tisakorean. They asked and I answered.”
I couldn’t believe it. Standing before me was some kind of demigod.
“Come with me,” he said. “Jump on my back.”
“What?” I said. “You’re joking.”
“Yeah I’m joking, weirdo. You’re a grown ass man. I’m not giving you a piggyback ride.”
“Oh, okay. Is there a car or something?”
“No, I was actually joking just a second ago. You are gonna need to actually get on my back. There’s really no other way.”
“Wait what? Are you serious?”
“Yes. This time.”
He looked serious enough. He waved me over. So I climbed up on his back and wrapped my arms around him.
“Hold on tight,” he said.
Then all of a sudden, he launched up in the air like a Dragon Ball Z character, straight through the glass roof of the building. It was terrifying but thrilling and beautiful. But I felt a sharp pain in my neck, like I’d been stabbed.
Had the glass shards of the roof cut me? I turned my head to assess any injuries. Of course, I thought to myself. Sure enough, staring back at me from my shoulder-holding on for dear life-was my little white cat.

The weirdest thing is by the second verse I was already tearing up, because the vibe was fucking heavy. But after when I heard "I had to bury my brother" I broke down because my brother passed this year just a couple of months ago, like we can just relate. This wasn't the episode I knew I needed, but it it was because sometimes some things you just need to hear. I've always fucked with the cave, but now more than ever thank you officer Kenny 🔥

Saba is such an incredible artist. The flow, lyrics, musicality is unparalleled and so slept on. And to be that good and still maintain modesty, realness and transparency is so rare these days. The rest of the gang also absolutely killed it and brought the same spirit to the room. So excited for these guys and their magic. Looking forward to the coming drops. Rest in peace Walt and Squeak.

Kenny's sample selection resonated so well w the tribute and dedication of this episode. Absolutely loved it. RIP Squeak. P.S Saba's verse was atomic. He so humble.

Sample picking is absolutely a talent. Trying to think of C.R.E.A.M without The Charmels or Mass Appeal without Da Youngstas makes them completely different records. It's definitely different today with the internet vs pure crate digging, but a sample often makes a song and there's an art to finding the right one.

One of our favourites just based on the flow. Hitting heavy like they used to do. Bring back the 90s.
This episode definitely feel informative and heartfelt. You can feel the respect and love from all of them to each other and honestly, this is a breath of fresh air. We're too used to a chill or chaotic episode of cave but this one is iconic. RIP Squeak.
One of my favourite episodes so far. Perfect beat and energy. Fucked with the back to back cypher vibes. Also shoutout to the editing on this video - impeccable. The transition at 8:42... seamless. Blessed to have this content free. RIP Squeak.
