I'm just so envious of collectors in the US with the amount of SW toys and sales around places over there! To toy hunt in the US is definitely on the bucket list!! Great score, RWD!

I collect mostly vintage SW but when it came to the Sand Crawler I the new version w no wheels no batteries needed or to worry about and I placed it in a repro vintage style SW Sand Crawler box all for $160 ,it’s from the exact same mold just no remote problems to mess with

I can understand that. Much better price for sure. I saw the recent Disney sandcrawler 2 years ago, but didn't like the colors on it. I actually love my cardboard "Land of the Jawas" playset sandcrawler, and wasn't really looking for anything else. But this opportunity was too good to pass up.

That store looks like a super fun place. I don't think we have a store like that (jam-packed with figures and playsets) in the entire Atlanta area. There is a place about 4 miles from me called Galactic Quest - they have older figures, but it's more of a comic shop. Awesome haul though. Love the sandcrawler and the Temple Guard is pretty sweet! Thanks for sharing, David!

I didn't realise on your IG post the "jawa car" was incomplete. I also didnt realise a minty "jawa motor" was pushing a grand either!! 😮 Read the comments here and a couple of people have agreed you did well, so glad you did. Battery cover shouldn't be too hard to fashion yourself with a bit of perspex/paint to at least cover the hole and you can probably get 3d printed parts as well. The main point is it will display nicely regardless, especially with some jawas. Excellent haul, and what a shop!

  • @RedWagonDioramas

Thanks David. Yes, the sandcrawler will display nicely with my collection just as it is. Over time I’ll try to hunt down the missing pieces. There are 3d printed parts available too, but I’ll wait a while before trying that path. Got to figure out how to display it first.

@@RedWagonDioramas Yes, I've got that problem as well with the parts. I have a nice condition X-Wing needing a canopy and 3 guns. My Rebel transport slug carry case needs a second gun for the removable platform and that dastardly black hatch from the bottom. I also inherited the big, silver Naboo ship/playset that's missing a bit of a lift? and one of the silver rear "spikes" which unfortunately is very noticeable. These are ankle level priorities on a collecting list starting at my forehead!! However I do want to sort them at some point. So the question is expensive vintage or repro/3d parts?....

  • @RedWagonDioramas

Yes, the prices have really crept up on the 6" figures. To be fair that $100 Triple Zero droid figure is one of the more rare ones in the line, hence the $100 price. Very few black series figures get that expensive.
