One idea. You can have a fixed station in the store with a nice backdrop, lighting, mic and a phone on a stand where people can show off what they have bought and maby tell a short story on why they bought it. Some short clips you can post on SOME. Keep trucking guys. Love this stuff :)

Holy moly! I wouldn't be surprised if in a few episodes we see a three way trade where two traders want each other's items. Has it already happened?

@@toyfederation I would say almost. I remember Travis making the deal after you passed it up. That's what's rad about the Federation, you've all got your unique tastes and the patrons benefit from it. I would only buy Transformers, Robotech/Macross, Halo and TMNT!

Heh, that Mythic Legions Headless Horseman in the background, is that the same one from ToyLanta you had in the booth? To answer your question: I think folks do still collect Voltron, at least updated modern versions, I just don’t know how sought after vintage is. I know there’s the infamous one of Go Lion/Voltron that had to be pulled from shelves ( I don’t remember what markets or how widespread) that had lead paint in the sets. I remember reading or watching something about it. The only I would say to watch out for with the Lion set is the hip ratchets where there’s a spring under tension by a screw. The plastic socket had a tendency to split loosing all tension. It did on mine as kid to where my folks took me back to the store to ask for a replacement one. I get the replacement and eventually it did the same thing. My dad tried to fix it but it was fragile plastic. At least my folks were trying to teach me something at an early age not settling for a defective product.😂

very busy shop today keep the videos coming.. great watching to see what people are buying and trading in...them Stargate figures and ships over here in the uk a few years ago boxed i think i got £20 for them both they where flooded over here in bargain toy shops lol

Most of these ‘toys’ never get played with since taking them out of the package dramatically drops their value. It’s mostly speculative buying with the hope of selling it to someone else for more than you originally paid. Just insane to me. Mostly not kids enjoying a toy but grown men ‘collecting’. So MUCH plastic crap! Aren’t we living with enough plastic already?! End of rant

Love when Ryan starts on a big new box of items that a customer brings in for trade or sale and on top are item's that are new to him. You can tell he gets as excited as an 8 year old at X-mas.

Thanks for an incredible episode. You really spoiled us with a ton of nostalgia feels in this one. Also, as someone who had a parent give away all his childhood MOTU figures when I went to college and looking to reassemble for a fun project - this puts into perspective how rare the carded ones are and instead my focus should be complete "loose" figures. Great seeing those Stargate Figs , I've collected all Sg1 Figs from diamond select exept one or two of the special figs and got a few multiple times to set up the different versions of the Sg1 one Team . I wish they had made more of em but the detail is just great.

I could literally work in your store everyday and never get tired of it, so much nostalgia, great content!!

I liked seeing the Stargate stuff. My brother and I had some of those figures. Horus and Anubis, they were very cool. Didn't have any vehicles or anything. I loved the movie but could not get into the TV show. Oh, and you can't go wrong with Devastator!

I have the set of 6 figures (i think about 5 or 6 inch)(mint) Mego Star trec and ship's main control station case (average condition) . About 15 years ago looked up crew figures and were about $50.- each. All had cloth/velvet clothing and plastic figures. In todays market what should i expect......on low end? Thanks.

I was in 7th grade when Captain Power came out and I remember how awesome the commercials made the toys look.

There are several companies that make them. Just google cased for carded action figures. Or ebay. They usually run about $5 a case.

Why Would Anyone Want a Playmates Voltron Or Trend Masters When You Have Matchbox Voltron 1 & 2.. I Still Have My Original Voltron 1 in Box i Bought Back in The 80's..I've Spent Several Yrs Gathering Part's To Form 2 More ,Also Panosh Voltron Was Sweet To Collect..im Still Missing Helmets 😢

Thing with tmnt and x men they reused old figures later on in new packages. In smaller stores that never sold those types of toys like dollar general and big lots. Original figures just diffrent packefes off they went off the shelves at places like wal mart k mart etc.

You hit the nail on the head. If masterpiece transformers taught us anything, its that the collectors that grew up in teh 80's are willing to pay for the 80's. I love that masterpiece finally transform like the cartoon made them look, but ALSo the missing link Optimus prime is a great call back. its how the toy should have transformed ( though they saved money by repurposing the diaclones line). Classified has legs, but in the waves, they need to make sure they give us some real american hero with the proper articulations. Its a license to print money. Stop it with the scarcity hasbro. Your leaving money on the table.

You should have a table off in a corner so folks can place all their tradable goods. Probably dont have enough room but you can make some.

you have a very special channel here. i enjoy these videos so much. that green cheap helicopter you pulled out of that lot i had as a kid. i put joes in it and played with it to hell and back. do you have that sky striker deal on video?

@toyfederation ... i never gave that option much thought! But yes, on multiple devices, I've tried to adjust the volume. The audio is noticeably lower than other comparative videos on KZread.

I guess as far as Classified goes, I always can't figure this out. Why do you want an exact replica in a six inch version of what you already have a 3.75" version of? What's the point? Yes, the movie figures aren't great, but ignoring that there was nothing wrong with any of the first couple waves of Classified. If the most damning criticism is it isn't ARAH enough then... oh well? To me, especially Snake Eyes where he has a billion variants (Hi Desert SE coming soon!) already, like... who cares if it isn't exact? And then you run into issues like Baroness and Lady Jaye where when you slavishly appease people who do want exact 1:1 of ARAH, it sits on the shelf and warms hard. To me figures like the Arctic BAT are perfect, because it's a different variant of something we're familiar with. IMO A BAT is the best Classified figure so far.

My value of Voltron was $75, that's what I was willing to pay on clearance, since obviously nobody else valued it at full price since they went clearance at GameStop too. Someone on eBay has put green crumbley bits says it's a screen used Slimer, and is asking $5,000 for it. I am not willing to pay $5,000 for green crumbley bits, but maybe that's what it's worth to someone else.

I love u guys keep it up. I have a storage unit I stored all my toys I collected from 90s to 2001. Pokémon, gundam, batman, star wars , McFarlane, etc etc gonna go there and see what I have. I know inhave 12 huge plastic tubs. 3 tubs are all femalw figures and Harley Quinn stuff even her first comic appearance and her number 1 Harley Quinn comic . I know inhave all the stars femalw figures ..the big funky clothed ones. Just a bunch of random stuff . Man I wish I loved close to u all I would love to trade for stuff .
