As an old bandsman, I say BRAVO for this high school band, members and the director.

Outstanding! Concert band quality in a marching unit. Straight lines, diagonals, proper carriage, everyone in step, articulate full Sonics ( I can hear the woodwinds clearly). Congratulations to all involved on a most excellent performance (including the flag team).

The way a march should be played!!! Loud and proud while marching. Well done.

Is this American thing? High School Marching Band, that is. I see few Japanese High School Marching Band videos on KZread, but 99% are American High School. Don't see much of any European or other continent represented as far as High School Marching Bands are concerned.

Some people think this was a Sousa song (Sousa was a famous American composer), because Sousa really liked the song and played it every chance he got

Kudos to the drum major at the beginning.

MAN!...that drum major was GOOD......he marched with lots of SWAG in addition to his fine baton work...BRAVO!

What a great performance. This "Under the double eagles" is an excellent choice as their music.

I have been listening to UNDER THE DOUBL EAGLES for all my life still enjoy listening up till today. It a master piece arrangement.

If this fine performance was 7th place, the winners must be beyond phenomenal!!

It's an austrian march and so it refers to the double eagle of the austrian empire.

I love this music, too！I don’t know why but in Japanese Elementary School, the pupils often play this music in the music concert.

Brings back very fond memories of being in the High School marching band back in the early 1970s! We loved parades! During football season we prepared a _new_ and complete half-time show _each week_! It was hard work but we did it! And we did it very well! During marching competitions we always won Sweepstakes of 2nd place! Even our uniforms were distinguished! The resembled the British uniforms, including the tall bearskin hats! Those were the days!

Finally a band where the Drum Major holds the mace correctly!

Terrific performance! Well-supported sound, good tempo. Unfortunately I missed half the band review due to being cold & soaked or maybe I would have some idea of how Kennedy got 7th place. AA must have been a slugfest if there were 6 better performances that day. That's what makes the Arcadia FOB a great event, year after year. Thanks as always, Luis!

Blessed Sacrament Golden Nights of Newark NJ played this as an off the line in 1964.

This 1893 Martial March of the Austro-Hungarian Empire is one of my most favorite military marches. I play it every morning while enjoying my coffee.. What great motivational music to listen to while conquering all of northern Italy... It always highly motivates me..

How about that, I went to Kennedy High School in San Antonio TX. Our school colors were also green and white Our mascot was the Rockets

Where was this recorded? The background looks like it could be im south Texas. There is a Kennedy, Texas located southeast of San Antonio that was settled by German innigrants begining around 1850.

I don't. The girls in front of the band keep dragging their flags along the ground, which is considered a sign of deep disrespect. Even though I am not Austrian, I would hate to see the Austrian flag being dragged along the groud like that.

This is the former Austro-Hungarian Empire national anthem!

No it's not the anthem is "Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser". Unter dem Doppeladler is a very popular Austrian military march but not the anthem

@@jonathanwiener4979 actually you are both wrong the Anthem of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and by extension the Austrian Empire previously was Gott Erhalte- Gott Beschutze. Gott erhalte Franze den Kaiser was a birthday present to Francis II (I) from Franz Josef Hayden and only served in an official capacity during his reign, as his successor's name was Ferdinand and Gott Erhalte Ferdinand den Kaiser doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

A really good performance on a march the German's call "Unter dem Doppleadler" BRAVO ! The word "adler" is "eagle" in German and this referred to their flag which had a two-headed eagle on it.

There are no flugelhorns - so the sound of this great march is far not the same as in austria!

All the boys are wearing Green which is the symbol color of French representative lady of Bourbons Dynasty, Madame do Pampadour who I really respect. Very Impressive! But in USA, it should be Mrs. Michelle Obama, who seems to be the next and First US Female President! Although their situations are different.......

Wieso? Das ist Amerika. Wir spielen, was wir wollen, wann wir wollen. Deutsche Märsche sind großartig. Fast so gut wie Sousa. :P Wir marschierten zu Alte Komeraden in der High School Band in Indiana.

Algerian Prophet This march was a favorite of Sousa, who played it enough that it became essentially adopted by the US. Not to mention the high school is from a heavily German influenced part of Texas, who brought their culture, including music, when they settled the area.
