I believe I have the same rear drum gasket. Do you happen to have the part number or means of finding it? I have an older kenmore. Thanks for the video. I have Same exact issue with my roller. Looked very similarly damaged

@@dhos09 Yes, I would definitely replace the gasket. It's easy to do. My dryer is electric and the model number is 110-76774100. I have ordered some parts from appliancepartspros.com. There's two door designs for this model, one is round and the other is oval. I have the round design. I have the Sears "Do it Yourself Manual" for this model that I bought when I ordered the dryer some 40 years ago. The parts diagram does not give parts numbers. The seal at the rear of the drum is listed as Illustration #27 "Seal, Rear Drum. The seal at the front of the drum is listed as Illustration #54 "Ring, Bearing". I hope this helps and that you'll be able to find the parts you need.

@@davidgpo i think you can oil it with turbine oil. Also DOT 3 dryers (4 rollers) have roller shafts with left-handed threads. I found out the hard way when i worked for Sears.

Should of replaced idler pulley while you were in there.

Give him a break. It's 40 years old! 😊 Great DIY video. Mine is only 35 years old, but has the same issue. They don't make them like they used to.
