@@dmvbawse4265 The right way??? Have you ever played basketball? Because where i play we don't call many fouls, we know that it just makes us better. The NBA has gone soft when it comes to defense, go watch old nba games or go to a college game or something. The game has always been physical, until now. So don't go around saying this soft ass defense is the right way to play because it isn't. Contact makes you better

whatsmyageagain you can still have all that, with some contact, especially big men. We’ve SEEN finesse in the 90s, we’ve seen excellent footwork, it’s not a cage fight, just more physical. And it was wildly entertaining to watch.

toppsballer I use to be a huge nba fan, it’s a pathetic league now. Catering to their favorite players, no calls on stars, extending playoffs series, missing travel calls but can somehow see when someone swipes lebrons wrist with 1 finger, all the flopping, suspending green for touching Lebron AFTER being tripped by him, yet punted Steven Adams balls inside out and gets no suspensions or nothing. Was supposed to take away that d wade jump into player foul bs but never did (dumbest rule ever). Not to mention Adam silver is a fuckin little snake, money hungry ass mf selling out to Gatorade g league lololol and jersey sponsors, talking a 4 point shot, my goodness it goes on and on. Really starting to dislike the nba as of late, it’s a shame.

Easiest thing to do would be to change the rules. Wrist slapping, getting bumped while shooting and arms tied up should never be fouls. Basically if its not somebody shoving or slamming somebody(this too can be prevented by utilizing the team's weight room) then it shouldnt be a foul. Makes the game a lot easier to call when there arent so many ways to dissect it!

Players get penalized for unsportsmanlike actions. Not for their performance... That´s like saying players should be fined if they have a bad shooting game. Absolute nonsense. And don´t get me wrong. I´m not happy with the officiating right now. But penalizing them isn´t gonna change anything. I´m certain they´re not making bad calls on purpose. What they should be penalized for imo is handing out technicals because their little ego is hurt. But that´s it.

@@mico5536 yeah. After they beat the Pistons to go to the finals against the Lakers, Jordan was talking to the media saying he didn't believe there was a place in the league, for the kind of ball the Pistons played. And I don't remember if there were specific rule changes in the following season, but refs definitely started calling games differently & soon enough, actual rule changes came into play. Now having said that, the rule changes have served to open up the game, which entices causal fans, but when I see flagrant fouls (which existed, but were never called until the early 90's), that back in the day wouldn't have been common fouls, it's frustrating, but I don't blame today's players, b/c I know who's really responsible
