Damn this is impresive bro. all its really missing is some saturation, light compression and other producer magic to mix it like the original

it also needs a lot more swing. the rhythm feels too stiff. but the instrumentation and placement of everything is beautiful.

@@kayshawn. true but thats also likely due to the use of live instruments in the original. Hard to replicate in midi especially if hes just arranging midi with a mouse and keyboard

I really have a hard time thinking of Sounwave and Thundercat really just had made a beat so fucking full and glorious, brought it to Kendrick and him and his band did what they did to this beat. amazing. amazing remake i wish you were an ableton user

What plugin did you use for the bass? And did you use any separate effects for modulating it?

I used Trilian and had 3 different presets depending on the way the notes were playing After that i put on Guitar Rig 7 with a Wah-Wah pedal and after that i put an Auto-Filter pedal to get that sound and then some Pro-Q and Compression The bass was actually the main reason i started remaking this song in the first place thundercat went crazy

addictive drums 2, the default presets are kinda mid but you can get really good drums if you tweak with it a lot
