Kendrick Lamar - HUMBLE. (Live) - The DAMN. Tour opening night, Phoenix, AZ 07-12-2017 at Gila River Arena (Glendale, AZ)
Incredible energy from Kendrick and sold out crowd. After first verse, crowd takes the chorus, and then 3 minutes of uninterrupted cheering, leaving Kendrick speechless. Song restarts and it's a great version.

I dont mean to be the one but Beyoncé....Kendrick is amazing as well. but Beyoncé is the closest thing to MJ .. BUT I will say that Beyoncé & Kendrick are definitely like the only artists today that can give you a great visual and put on a show! I LOVE THEM! when they performed Freedom together, it was MAGICAL!
im so high i cried

Christian Martinez That's how it's supposed to be. Woulda been even funnier if, like, one half had rapped and the other done the ad-libs.
Fucking awesome performance. Glad I was there, didn't record anything but glad you did.

alyssa gonzales Phoenix ended just before 1100pm. That's when curfew is for the arena shows here. Kendrick did a little over a 90 minute show. I don't know what time the openers went on, but they were good, too.
I'm glad I got to witness this

He sounded better than the music like if you agree !!
@TheSolongsidekick

...that's just moronic (ignoring the pathetic plea for likes for now). He objectively sounds worse than a pre-recorded and edited track. There's no debating that if you have a functioning brain. Recording music is literally picking the best run of each section of a song that the artist can produce. So if he sounded better here than on the record... they would have used this audio for the record. I mean jesus are you deaf? I'm not saying he sounds bad because he doesn't; but saying anyone sounds better in an arena than on their record is just flat out stupid. Even people like Haley Williams and Brendon Urie - who both have unreal voices and put on incredible live shows - don't sound "better" than on the record. I don't believe that there are people in existence that are this stupid. There's no way they would remember to breathe all day. Which means you most likely just spat out the first stupid thing that came to your mind in a... depressingly pathetic attempt to get verification from strangers. I feel sorry for you.

Opening GT he has done that for every show this tour. It was really cool to be a part of it. I think Kendrick was a little surprised to get a response like that. It was his first show as the headline of an arena.

Why does he sound so different from the music video?
@zajvlom
7 жыл бұрын
Johanna Banana because he's rapping live in an arena here vs on the CD / video it's in a studio. You can clean up the sound in the studio and get it perfect. But, live you only get one shot. Also, this is the 18th song into the show. It's cool to compare the two.
