Kenapa mat salleh ni belajar Bahasa Malaysia? 🇲🇾
This is a one-off just practicing my language skills, Ive been learning on and off for a total of three montbs or so over the past couple of years. I reckon if i put my mind to it, i could do a good job after 6 months, so im very much at rhe beginning of my journey, Giulia is the same.
I cut out a lot of content so it’s a little choppy - thought I’d spare people all the talk (or rant 😂) - might get a little bosan. The time is super early in the morning at like 7am so it’s a little dark.
Unfortunately Malaysia is experiencing really bad weather atm so it’s all under an umbrella.
Normal schedule will resume next with more from Johor Bahru, but for now, take in the early morning sights of Kuala Lumpur.
Terima kasih banyak!

Salute. Not many foreigners who visiting Malaysia have effort to learn Bahasa Malaysia seriously due to many Malaysians can speak English. Good effort!

Wah..tahniah..lancar juga Pat berbahasa melayu walau baru belajar dalam 3 bulan sahaja..syabas..kami tunggu vlog kamu yang seterusnya..Terbaikk..👍👍👍 macet - traffic jammed - 'sesak' dalam B.Melayu
Memang cukup berguna belajar apa2 bahasa pun.
Terbaik..excellent fluent..pandai kamu berbahasa melayu..semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan..

TAHNIAH 👍 TERUSKAN USAHA 👌💖🇲🇾
Macet means heavy traffic in bahasa Indonesia If u want to say it in bahasa Malaysia,u can say " sesak" or "kesesakan lalu lintas"(formal) however we Malaysians often use our slang "jam" or "jem" which means traffic jam . We shortened the word traffic jam to make communication simple 😅😅

Tahniah Pat. Teruskan usaha dan kami akan bantu
For yr information, there is a white man from UK named Mat Dan(his name in Malay), sorry....I dont know his actual name in Mat Saleh name. He came to Malaysia many years ago as a tourist exploring n visiting the the whole Peninsular Malaysia including the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia such as Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. His last destination in Malaysia as a backpacker was Perhentian Island. He then fall in love with a Terengganu Malay girl. He decided to stay in Terengganu wiith his adopted family(the Malay Girl Family) and got married a few years later. Mat Dan now has a cute son and live happily in Terengganu with his beloved family and sometimes he brings his family back to UK for a visit his parents. You can type "Mat Dan" if U want to have a chat with him using KZread channel.

OMG!!! finallyyou speak Bahasa Melayu. Tahniah bro! Btw, how long did it take to learn the language? How long have you lived in KL? this is really amazing.
Improved a lot. Well done
Speak very well... you very smart weiiiiiiii...
Congratulations Pat! You are doing great! Malay language is the easiest language in the world IMHO. No past/future/present tenses, no complicated word strings, simple pronunciations, No hard 'K' or 'G' (everything is pronounced softly), everyone is non binary b(no he/she). My humble advice is for you to speak more with the locals/rural people to get the intonations and word combinations right. Good luck and all the best!
Not bad,bro...keep it up. Semoga anda suka di malaysia. Boleh datang ke Sarawak.
Tahniah Pat! Teruskan berbahasa Melayu dalam setiap vlog anda👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Saya sangat rindu Malaysia, bukannya saya rindu Malaysia banyak. Practice makes perfect

You did an excellent job of communicating with us in Bahasa Malaysia. In actuality, Bahasa Malayu is the ancestor of Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia. Speaking British English and American English are like speaking two different languages. Certain words are not used in both languages yet are nonetheless understandable despite the various accents. Malaysians frequently use English while speaking with foreigners to ensure that they can understand us. We always try to speak with an Indonesian accent when we speak with Indonesians, even though we speak Bahasa Melayu in the same language as Indonesians. In contrast to Indonesian or Thai people, you need to master their language if you want to understand them better. It's possible that many foreigners don't bother learning Bahasa Malaysia here because they can still communicate with us in English. Only individuals who are driven to integrate into the community well will go above and above to develop such high levels of Bahasa Melayu proficiency.
Good job brother 👍🏻👌🏼! Your Malays are getting improving a lot though you are still learning it ! Keep it up ☺️☺️☺️!! In few years later your Malays will be fluent like native speaker!
hebat! saya tabik usaha anda untuk menguasai bahasa melayu. sebagaimana dalam bahasa inggeris yang mengatakan, where there’s a will, there’s a way, dalam bahasa melayu juga mengatakan, di mana ada kemahuan, di situ ada jalan. teruskan berbahasa melayu walaupun sepatah perkataan sehari. sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi bukit! 😊
My God. Bahasa melayu kamu sangat baik.👍💟
But in Malaysia, we have more than one slang to speak bahasa. Every states got different slang.
Jika saya memahami apa yang awak perkatakan, maksudnya bahasa melayu anda sudah cukup bagus. Keep it up brother! Maybe one day you could end up being a celebrity too in Malaysia
terbaik Bro, dah pandai cakap Bahasa Malaysia mantopppppp
Syabas Bro. Teruskan usaha untuk memantapkan penguasaan Bahasa Melayu anda. Keep it up and God bless you

Hi Pat, 1. Wow.. You are now can independently speak malay! Congratulations..! 2. 5:38 don't worry mate, the North East Monsoon will be over in 3 weeks. By the time you travel to East Coast region, the weather will again, back to tropical hot and humid. 3. 5:48 speaking of East Coast, your new understanding of malay language will be challenged by another version of malay dialect spoken by East Coast people. East Coast like Kelantan and terengganu known for their special malay dialect. Its like English being spoken by Scottish! So be prepared!
Guys, keep learning and speak more with local Malays, I am convinced they can assist. Malay language can be nevertheless be used not only in Malaysia, but in Brunei and Indonesia as well.

"Saya rasa bosan sebab Julia selalu buat perempuan things" 🤣 bagus Pat, terus belajar 👍I recommend you watch Malay classic movies, they speak proper Malay language..Cintai Bahasa Malaysia aka Bahasa Melayu
whenever i sees a person whose speak & learning other languange, i always get this quote pop in my head , " if you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” , nelson mandela.. regardless if other sees other comment saying if your intention arent sincere,as a person whose trying to learning another languanges, kudos to you man.. peace out by malaysian boy here.. in regard of how to improving your Bahasa melayu, i would suggest,if u just that spontaneous, whenever u sees a local dining alone/in a group of 2-3,try asking to dine in with them telling you wanted to learn the languge (BM) just by interacting with them during the dine time..
Steady..pandai cakap bahasa malaysia 👍👍👍 Sudah cecah 60% boleh cakap BM 👍👍

Fantastic bro. You will cakap Melayu soon enough with the enthusiasm yang you ada. May you have a wonderful stay here bro.
Bagus dapat belajar bahasa Malaysia, sebenarnya sangat mudah.
I give 1000 thumbs up for your effort. Love it. Since u quite briliantly understand bahasa melayu. I hope u can learn and speak dual dialects. Bcoz malaya was under british empire. So the vocabs more from britain. Indonesia more towards dutch.. If u go indonesia, speak bahasa indonesia vocabs, if u go malaysia, brunei, Singapore speak bahasa melayu vocabs. Malay is nice because it has a lot of dialects/accent according to the speaker origin. Lets see ur Vocabs in all ur vids. If i dont mentioned, ur vocabs is good. Macet=sesak Beda=beza Kemarin=semalam Sore=petang Praktik=amalkan Bule=mat saleh/orang putih Klakson=hon If u want to speak malay. Stay in local malay house in very kampung house. Not in city or small cities. we speak malay at home or with friends. So malay and english become equally our daily spoken language. And if u stay in malay kampung house let say in negeri sembilan, u speak different accent and different vocabs. Same goes to to kedah, kelantan, terengganu etc etc. So stay with them . here few good example . european speak malay accent We also love to speak and mixed district/state accent with standard malay. Watch below. That girl mixed english + penang malay accent + standard malay kzread.info/dash/bejne/h5h4vKZ_k87fp8Y.html Accent kelantan kzread.infozfEtYm2ivWc?feature=share Mat saleh speak accent negeri sembilan kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3iDytSRnZDAeZM.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6ulmMGikcy6oaw.html Watch some fun short movie by UK girl. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mo2spcmuiMa9cbQ.html So its normal malay language has so huge accents available and vocabs as bahasa indo root also from bahasa melayu

@@nabilfikrisuberi4300 yes understand that. The one i list was what malay standard is, not by any state vocabs(kosa kata) or accent. i think bahasa melayu spoken that we speak daily as malay standard language is base on bahasa-melayu johor-riau.. lemme find the references Tq for additional added info..
Banyak kan bercakap dengan lokal.. Pasti nanti jadi lebih lancar..
