Ken Patera shoots on Eric Bischoff

Kenneth Patera talks about Eric Bischoff in a shoot interview.
Mike Graham (Mike Gossett) said that Eric Bischoff should have been in prison because of all the money his decisions cost for WCW and made for himself instead. Then later in WWE Bischoff made a lot of money acting like a person that's in charge without actually contributing behind the scenes or going on the road like almost all of the wrestlers.

    Wow, Patera is 100% right. The corporate jabrones got involved in the wrestling world when they had no experience and killed the product which was old fashion wrestling. True fans want to see rivalries and not corporate people trying to change wrestling into a day time soap opera. Guys like Biscoff and Russo killed the wrestling business. Jim Heard and Ted Turner also killed the wrestling business. Wrestling needed to be run by wrestlers who care for and have experience for what they are selling.

Not to mention how he threw away a bunch of money to get Hogan & his whole group Jimmy Hart, Eddie Lesley etc.

    You had a gym in North St Paul MN for several years,and you closed it down Ken ! Eventually, your business failed. Yes, it can happen to anyone. Man, the misconception so many of these guys seem to have about Eric Bischoff is really sad. He was neither the monster, nor the idiot they make him out to be. He made the best of a bad situation with WcW, got zero credit for anything good that happened, and took all the heat for everything bad that went down. And it was all because, back in the day, he took full responsibility for it all and always refused to throw anyone else under the bus.

    Bischoff gets blamed for the demise of WCW unfairly I think. His lack of experience certainly contributed to it no question, however people love to give Bischoff *ALL* of the blame for it's failure but *NONE* of the credit for it's success. *AOL/Time Warner* killed WCW. Not Eric Bischoff. Ted Turner was removed from power and thus Eric had to report directly to a board that from the beginning had already made up their minds to get rid of WCW. However, it is a valid argument that Patera brings up here in-regards to how WCW was built into a lucrative-machine that was loaded with ex-WWF personnel, the was killed instantly once the WWF became a self-sustaining publicly-traded billion-dollar company. Then it was sold to Vince McMahon for pennies-on-the-dollar. Bischoff conveniently gets a job with the company afterwards. I also found it interesting on how Vince had secretly-funded ECW, most of the major stars in the Attitude Era - Ruthless Aggression Era at some point were in either ECW or WCW. Paul Heyman is working for the WWF in creative while ECW is still open and facing bankruptcy. There is a *LOT* that stinks in this situation.

  • @jnicholson79jn

    @jnicholson79jn

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@D2Kprime I think Vince only funded ECW at the end so he could use it as a farm team, so to speak. He wanted a few guys from their roster, but didnt have spots available for them immediately. He needed to stop them from jumping to WCW before he was ready to sign them.
