There literally could not be a better person to carry on the legacy of the show than Ken. Not only was he one of the most successful contestants ever but he's clearly got all the hosting skills down pat.

Well, he had the most time to get said skills down. For as good as he is, it took him some time to get himself together as well. Even he has admitted that he started out trying to be like Alex -- until he realized he couldn't.

His first book was great too. My favorite Howard Stern interview ever was Ken Jennings when that first book came out. Stern used to do a bit on his show called Win Fred’s Money, where listeners would battle Stern’s foley guy Fred in trivia knowledge, as Fred was a bit of an encyclopedia. It was 7 hard random questions which you had to answer as quickly as you could, as if there is a tie, the one who answers in the fastest time wins. (One question I remember they both got wrong is: What is a group of porcupines called? (Like a group of lions is a Pride.). Answer: A Prickle.). Minor spoiler: they tied in correct answers AND tied in time. And did a tie breaker and tied in that too! It was eventually resolved, but the interview itself was fantastic too. As was his first book, which addressed popular thoughts like do you really need to wait an hour after you eat before you swim: as true, partially true, or false.

This gets to the heart of why Mayim was a popular choice as another host, and why she actually isn’t that good as host. People didn’t want Mayim, they wanted Amy Farrah Fowler. Amy would have been a good host. Mayim not so much. The only way it would ever work the way people hoped it would is if she did the show in-character.

Well you aren’t just lucky Ken you are the perfect fit . Mayim was good but not as good as you . That Mike Roberts actually performed well before his unfortunate and unjust boot from Sony . The revolving door of guest hosts was fun and necessary . It was like 50s Tonight Show when Steve Allen departed . A lot of people were team Levar but unfortunately he didn’t have it . Alex during video cameo of Ken Jennings reading a question tilted his head after it was over and said “ I liked the way he did that !” Sounded like an endorsement to me !

Ken is doing a pretty good job and I'm glad they keep the interviews because I enjoy learning about my fellow Americans. We are too divided these days. I also think that they should bring on a calm white male for Wheel of Fortune. I'm all for a non celebrity who is calm, cool, collected is what we need. I feel like America is glorifying narcissists way too much and you can see that all over the media landscape. Try some humble pie. None of the cast of the View need apply because I don't want to know a hosts politics and personal opinions about everything.

Conflict of Interest Jennings who has a winning streak to protect should not be hosting this show. The little man is either giving beneficial hints and innuendoes to the player he prefers, or trying to influence the amount a player bets on the DDs... usually a weak player, while they're pondering their bet, so he can influence that bet and get a weak player within striking distance of a strong player who could be a potential future threat to his precious winning streak record. It's pretty transparent with 5 game + players if you pay close attention. Very corrupt.

For such a genius, Jennings failed to acknowledge that of all the reference to maps in his book on MAPS, the early maps of the U.S. continent were depicted as larger than the African continent for years, which continues to affect us adults born before the 60's. He's not worthy.
