10 seconds of Taylor Swift on the Jumbotron is not nearly as annoying as the one solid hour of TV commercial time that they pause the game for. When you go in person, you REALLY notice it, every time you ask yourself “why are the players just milling around and not playing?” Why don’t people vent about that?

Nice way to pretend Taylor only appears for 10 seconds. No it’s everywhere all the time and continues after the game. If she appeared once every other month there wouldn’t be a problem but she is now being shoved down people’s throats. I don’t think this is Taylor’s doing but the media’s, although she does lean into it since this is her first seemingly successful relationship in a while. It went from “aww good for Taylor”, to “oh I guess we’re talking about them again”, to “ok we get it they’re together and we already said congrats”, to finally “ugh again go awayyyyyy”

I have come across men who won’t even do something as simple as go to dinner with another male friend because they think it will look too intimate. It’s really becoming more of a thing especially with younger men. Also they are far less likely to seek therapy. We as a society are even part of the problem. Telling young children to “man up” if they are sad or that they are “acting like a little girl.” With all that Loneliness and bottled up emotions It’s no wonder we end up with all these gross “alpha male” Internet personalities like Andrew Tate and Sneako.

Although it took a while, women begin to recognize we are more than just a being behind a man whose sole purpose was just to carry the human race forward, rear children, cook and clean, and don’t bother their husband when he gets home. We evolved ourselves to be better and we did it with men’s help. Now it’s their turn to evolve. What Sara said that there are some women who cultivate toxic masculinity as well is true. I don't think the point was missed. I just think that all that women have gone through is like get it together, men. However, I do think women play a huge role in coddling men from birth on and sometimes contribute to the emotional fragility of men. Men need to know they are responsible for developing self love, love for others, and the world doesn't revolve around what they want. We as HUMANS have to work together for strong community.

They are made at the fact that it’s no longer about just football or these player’s accomplishments, it’s about an off field romance and it’s cool to show her, but that should not be the headlines, commercial or preview at the game. As for the negativity, honestly, it's just crazy how a supportive couple can set off so many people. Unsurprising only because there are far TOOOOO many people who have not put in the work to introspect themselves. Oooph. I can't wait till this wave of people drifts off into the ethers making room for more sound minds to roam the Earth. I am happy that Whoopi spoke her mind around 6:38. I get what everyone is saying but also, she and Joy are right. We got to the point where we had to push harder to MAYBE be on par. We had to be better than our counterparts. I worked in the trade for over a decade and have gone back to school since. About to enter another male-dominated industry where women make up

Some people just don't like celebrities. Some people don't like the idea of anything being a distraction or seeming bigger than the game. Some people are right-wingers and are going to hate anyone who is a popular Leftist or any shine they seem to get from it

I really hated how Sunny and Whoopi dismissed Alyssa Farah Griffin's genuine concerns about young men and the issues that they face. Many of these young men were not born during the time that Whoppi mentioned. Rather than fear and hate these men, as Whoopi mentioned, maybe listen to some of their concerns and see if you can come to some sort of compromise. By listening to some of these men, you prevent them from falling to the alt-right.

Joy speaks like she still has a career in standup comedy. The point is the only reason why people are making an issue about Taylor swift is because the NFL has to make such a big deal about her being in attendance when she has nothing to do with the game, why not put attention on other players wives/girlfriends. Its just all attention/ratings grab for the NFL to make a big deal about her, your average fan only wants to see the game and nothing else.

Anger like this really isn’t about anger, but an *unhandled sadness.* Unjust anger is not accepted in today’s society anymore, rightfully so. But today it’s pushed down and repressed instead of being handled. So what comes out from that is even more anger, because men’s (incapability to speak of their) emotions are not addressed. Now, unjust aggression towards anyone - like this - should never be accepted. But there’s a societal issue that needs to be addressed too. I’m a guy myself, fairly levelheaded and rational, but I have not cried for anything that I’ve been subjected to for the last 25 years - thanks to parents and people around me not interested in my emotional needs. “Don’t feel, let it go, don’t be so sensitive, it’s not that important” are all phrases that I’ve been brought up with my entire life and still hear today (!). That’s not okay,..

I definitely think that in the brand new age of feminism, we have left men feeling marginalized because we went from a society that practically worshipped manhood and chivalry to a society that says who needs a man and for a lot of men that's off putting because there are good men out here who were raised to be loving, caring and kind and in today's climate its all shadowed by the evils that other men do. I think we as a society just need to uplift one another no matter the gender, race, and sexuality. At the end of the day we are all human and we need to show a little more kindness to one another.

Lots to unpack here. I consider myself a very mild Taylor Swift fan. Love her music and it got me through homelessness. When it comes to football, I'm not a fan and never understood the weird quirks behind it. That being said, a lot of men (and others) are indeed struggling with loneliness, but I think this is more because of late-stage Capitalism. I do find it curious that Joy seems to have sympathy for many of these lonely men despite telling Millennials that they need to "just get a job". To that end, imagine having to work three jobs just to get by and not having time to socialize with others (since you have to get up early next morning for work). When it comes to jobs, Joy, however, is right. Not only are they not enough jobs, but the jobs we have either don't pay well, socially isolating, and repetitive.

Some people don’t like that a woman is getting attention about football so I won’t say everyone but what I will say is the people I know are annoyed because she’s getting more attention than the players on the field. When players score a TD and instead of watching their celebration we are zooming in on Taylor Swift, why? They have dimmed down on her a lot during games which I appreciate but the first few games she showed up to she was shown 20-30 times. That’s ridiculous. Especially when we know the NFL is just doing it to cash in on her celebrity.
