My All time favourite.

That backdrop is INSANE and what makes it so sweet is that it's about being rewarded for playing DEFENSE. Props to Jr, one of the greatest players of his and any generation.

He was the greatest of his generation. Gwynn,Ichiro and Jeter are all up there, but Griffey was the best, offense AND defense!!

There are a lot of pro athletes that do not like Skip. The only recurring guests who are athletes that they have on the show are Michael Vick and Orlando Scandrick. There is no doubt in my mind that this podcast is going to blow up. So many athletes and celebrities like Shannon.

I know, Shannon Sharpe made the Judgment of that he said he could have gone on 25 years instead of 22. They would have had designated hitter in the National League he would have had a hundred 25 home runs to get Aaron's mark of 755 instead of bonds 762.

His hamstrings at the end got him, he definitely was on track to do so. I was always more impressed with his glove work he was a walking highlight.

It never occurred to me before: there are MANY poor poor high school pitchers that had to face "Aluminum Bat Griffey". Frightening.

He is the true Natural, Jr is a class act. Great person and great ball player. You can see how his dad molded him and gave him the right mind set. Shannon is a great interviewer.

What was your favorite moment in Griffey's Hall of Fame career?

I remember begging my mom to go and watch him play at the Kingdome in 1994. What a humble, well spoken man. I wish more pro athletes were like him.

Griffey a stand up dude , I loved this interview

The most effortless, smooth and beautiful swing EVER in the game. In an era full of steroid abuse and “sluggers” making their name on the long ball, Griffey could keep up with any of them NATURAL. Out of all his accomplishments, and their are many, grif’s most amazing achievement imo is that in a game full of cheaters he was able to keep up and still rise above all of them and be the best in the game. Dear lord imagine the numbers Griffey would put up if he was on ped’s.... but he is class and did it on his own merits

The greatest baseball player I ever saw in my lifetime,hence that I was actually able to see play. Offensively and defensively just a all around player.played in a era dominated by steroids,he was the only one u didn’t have to question if he was taken them. and he had the best stance and swing in baseball

Club Shay Shay got it lit on Tuesdays. Griffey still looks the same.

When I use to play MLB The Show I always make a Griffey type player with his swing. Salute Griffey Jr. and Sr.

The man talks about his family in a way, thats rarely unheard of these days. From His Grand Mothers living directly across from each other, to playing with Dad, to his Own children.

If LeBron doesn't contact this show to be on it, it'll be unreal and disappointing to s.sharpe fans and his loyalty towards LeBron

The best chance he’s got is some time in the offseason probably. So far it seems like the people he talks to know him and already had a personal connection (until just recently with Kamara but even then he was put on by a mutual friend)

Ken Griffey Jr., a baseball god, us mere mortals are not worthy. Just pure greatness. Same age as me, that time period produced some of the games defining players.

He is a Cincy legend and we love him out of the 513. Like him i was born somewhere else, but i was raised in cincy and proud of it.

I’ve been a fan of The Kid since 1990 and a fan of Uncle Shay for about the last few years. This is the most rewarding and genuine interview I have ever watched. It literally brought me to tears seeing my favorite athlete of all time being so real and giving us snippets of his life like this. Well done Shay Shay and thank you for making this happen.
