Kemper Morphing - How To & Creative Uses

Музыка

After some requests I have made a video all about Morphing on the Kemper with some suggestions of both practical and creative uses. Apologies for the slight focus issues, I left the camera on auto focus by mistake and by the time I realised it was too late.

I would love to get you in a complex twin engine plane (I'm a multi Instumented pilot and you're a great guitar player) over the mountains for a flight from Denver to Aspen on a snowy night and give you as lousy a tutorial as you give here for morphing and then turn you lose to land! It would not end well as you can Imagine!!! I've purchased two of of your packs and would encourage everyone to do the same. Why doesn't someone take the time to put out some really great tutorials on how to actually use this damn thing!! (I get it, it would take a lot of time and I don't think you could monetize it!) I would never advise anyone to buy a Kemper other than a really savy lifetime muscian or engineer, there is absolutely NO good tutorials out there (I'VE LOOKED LONG AND HARD, including none from the frigging company!!! Good luck you're on on your own with this complicated piece's of crap! I bought mine new form a smart guy who had his for 3 months and threw in the towel. I promise you there's a whole bunch of these turds laying in the bottom of peoples closets where mine is getting ready to go...

Oh, man. You just made me (almost) happy. I ordered a Stage, without reading the manual first. I assumed I would be able to assign any of the switches to any of the effects. Specifically, I was shocked and disappointed to read this morning that only the top right buttons can toggle effects. What the hell? I assumed the Kemper could be used like an atomic Amplifire of Fractal AX8, with free assignments-like a ‘stompbox mode.’ I specifically want to be able to trigger a flanger on/off for very brief parts of riffs, as in Van Halen songs. I previously avoided using Scenes and that kind of feature, preferring a very simple ‘pedalboard’-type approach. Very glad to see I can use this morph feature to instantaneously trigger *(and hold!)* the same preset with the flanger added. And this video shows many other *useful* creative applications for morphing. I can now envision it as quite a nice tool, rather than an added complication. Thank you.

I’m actually not complaining sure as I’ve always had the remote. I’d imagine you can. There is probably a morph midi cc# in the manual that you could assign. I also think it may be possible to run a footswitch or expression into the kemper footswitch jacks on the back and assign it that way.
