I've seen Kellyanne Conway interviewed by many people, this is the 1st time I've seen her "Subdued". It was obvious Kellyanne was intimidated by a Smart Woman who wasn't having any of her BS! Three years later and Kellyanne looks like she's aged 10yrs. The stress of her job must be getting to her.

Conway says she doesn't know many, if any of the President-elect's nuclear arms policy specifics. Yet she's completely confident interpreting Trump's thinking on the subject. Amazing.

Bhagamshi Kannegundla she can't answer based on the tweet. The tweet never said more nuclear weapons it said expand the capability. That can range from modernizing already existing weapons systems, creating more weapons or a combination of both. But if she doesn't know the answer what do you want her to say?

how is "expanding our nuclear capability " not the same as building more? expanding, by definition is to increase... to grow bigger. moreover, upgrading is not the same as expanding. she's either not very bright or is just spinning, (the latter of which she attempt to do frequently).

As for giving Trump the benefit of the doubt and to adopt a wait and see attitude of where his presidency is going: What I've seen so far scares the bejesus out of me. What I don't for the life of me understand is why or how some Trump supporters continue to deny and deflect. But to be honest, I no longer care. My hope is pretty much gone at this point. Only thing I hold onto now is that hopefully, after 4 years and this is all over, we will be able to pick ourselves up and attempt to undo the far reaching damage that I believe will befall our already great country. That's the beauty of doing these shows. Kellyanne knows they have limited time for the segment. She just talks as long as she can until the segment is finished. That's why nobody does 1-2 hour interviews anymore. Because avoiding a question for 2 hours looks way worse than 10 minutes. It's why Trump won't do an unscripted long interview. He calls them "Gotcha" questions, but they're just good questions he can't answer.

comingviking I'll have to admit that my own thoughts were that this incredibly bright woman just sold her soul to the devil when she took on the role of campaign manager, but now that Trump HAS been elected, he'll finally get the chance to endure some of the same torturous meanness that he inflicted upon his predicessors (which is 'lesson enough' in MY book). Having Ivanka and Kellyanne as counterweights to his bombastic male ego will at least act as a safety valve. Despite Trump not being MY choice, I do wish him wisdom and much success in serving this great country of ours. Merry Christmas to you

Linda Casey Don't you worry about what he's going to inflict on the nation, not to mention the rest of the world? For gods sake, the man turned US policy on nuclear proliferation on it's head in a tweet. He seems to think he's the main character in a soap opera or a game show. It's like he doesn't realize that all of a sudden he is THE most powerful person in the world. He needs to think before he speaks, and be consistent. No more locker room talk, no more "It seemed like a good idea at the time" quips. He is not a private person any longer, he is the face and the voice of a super power.

I just love the restraint in the expression on Rachel Maddow's face. I serious love her!

You just flipped on your own argument. First Rachel is a Communist in cahoots with Putin. NOw you say that all of these actions are equivalent and that it's really no big deal that Flynn was in communication with the Russian ambassador. Why are you changing positions such that you always end up on top of the situation? It's ok to admit you were wrong and that Rachel is a serious and solid investigative reporter who does her homework liberal bias or not. She was fair to Kellyanne. Putin would throw Rachel in a gulag if she was in Russia reporting on his dirty deeds.

What’s most terrifying is her ability to further Trump’s lies and dangerous promises. She can talk in circles like it’s her job (because it kind of is) and often really seems convinced of the inane things she’s saying. Conway sounds like she believes it when she says Trump will “make America great.” I often find myself thinking, “She can’t mean that.” But she really does.

wow... there isn't a single thought in her head that isn't scripted. Not to mention, when presented with something that needs a direct answer, deflect, deny, and to act slightly dumber than she really is while pretending to be offended.

At one of the debates Trump had no clue what a Nuclear Triad was! Goggle it.
