my sisters Margaret had down syndrome as well , we lost her nov16,16 can't wait to see your doc my sis was my best friend my heart is broken miss her so much

Brian when someone loses the person they love it takes a toll in their life and I know how you feel I lost my Grandma Daphne from a stroke on August 26th 2009 the same year you lost Kelly when I found out that my Grandma died my life changed it took toll on my life I wanted to take my own life everytime I tried I hear a voice in my head saying "don't do it it's not worth it you'll never be forgiven." Brian I know it's hard and you're mourning the loss of your baby sister don't take your own life keep your head high and stay strong.

Thanks for your note. I'm sorry for your loss. It is hard. But time heals and I've been able to celebrate my sister through the film and that's helped a lot. I'm sorry you've been struggling with depression, please keep listening to that voice in your head that tells you NO, don't do it. You will see light, and it will get brighter everyday...You're here for a reason. Don't ever forget that.

Brian Donovan when I lost my grandaunt in 2015 suicide thoughts keeps on coming back I've dropped out of college because of it and Sunday is the Anniversary of my Grandma's death my mom's sister is not gonna like it she's gonna go into her miserable stage my mom is just gonna feel sad and depressed I'm trying to keep my mom's high blood pressure from rising too high when she cries a lot and it goes up but I don't want her to cry she is close to my grandma.

this great mr. brian! im glad that this movie is getting out there and what your sharing to others that shows a positively anything can happen! so proud of you guys!

i had quite a lot to say about this as well---- and this is coming from someone who has over 20 years experience working in the disabled communities and in advocacy services : this was a great documentary i love how the parents seemed to have taught her skills and so she did make choices, decisions, and think for herself, that is great they instilled that ... and the brothers love is awesome, how ever what really sucked and definitely did not do her any favors, was to indulge her in the fantasy relationships and romances, shew was frustrated and lonely ! and s he should have been presented with more options and actual relationship opportunities, as well as opportunities for acting and performing, her singing was nothing great, but she would have been a good actors he did have the knack for it, with help and guidance she could have been a worthy actor i think. i have found in over 20 years of working with disabled folks as well as being a disabled person ( learning disability, and mild cp ) is that indulging in those fantasies , especially in adulthood, hurts them in the long run, its sets them up for disappointment and frustration..... but it IS good to, if a person has dreams and goals, to help them pursue them as much as possible, and setting up real, genuine opportunities for relationships and friendships -- not keeping a person in fantasy land. im glad they shared the sexual harassment thing, because the process she did to get that letter and do all that, SHOWS she was intelligent!! , slow, delayed, some learning disabilities, yes. but she was by NO means, simple minded or stupid, or dumb, or incapable, she was very bright, and if her heart had been healthy, or at least fixable, i dont see any reason why she could not have went after her goals of doing real performing with small acting troops and even the big time in Hollywood the over-indulging , the sexual harassment, the living in fantasy land, imaginary loves, it not cute, its not funny, but sharing that shows just how intelligent and capable she really was, and they should have fostered that and helped her grow , instead of indulging all her life in these fantasies that is why she did that, she was living out her fantasies because that was all she had , since they did not help her go after her dreams and help her opportunities, real ones in relationships as well as her goals. Her parents and siblings should have helped her go after her dreams and goals, and have a REAL life, not indulge her fantasy life,that does disabled people more harm than good in the long run, as we see with kelly in this lil doc, she is happy, but not always she is doing things like harassment and manipulation because SHE WAS LONELY AND BORED AND FRUSTRATED, she could have had real relationships, real acting opportunities, even if that meant letting her move to california , get involved in some small acting troops ad stage groups, get some assistive services, an apartment with supports and so on, she was plenty smart, had people took the time to explore more out oft he box thinking options.

@@briandonovan6317 Yeah I decided to share in amazon reviews when I got a email asking if I’d like to review the film after watching it so I copy pasted my comment here, to amazon, thanks man, I’m glad the feedback was well received, i think it is very important that people realize that they should not give credit where it isnt due--- if the person is horrible at singing, dont tell them they are great when they are not !... if they ARE good at acting, then yes, by all means, tell them teyare good at acrting, if that is their passion, help em persue it ... but anyways glad to chat with ya, and I hope you are still doing well and making more films I think it was a very well put together doc. :)
