There’s an interview Aretha gave in Sept 2002 where she predicted Kelly would win and would have a long career in the industry.

He means, he misses her/the FIRST album, after IDOL, perhaps for many/one reason(s). Her FIRST album was/ yet is called "THNAKFUL". Kelly Clarkson has many albums passed "THANKFUL". Hence, I dont know if I would say, she is still in the THANKFUL era.
