Kelly is phenomenal!!!

She blended the simple sweetness of Dolly’s Version and the master vocal of Whitney’s! Love it!

Not only is Kelly a master vocalist, she is so good at knowing how to convey emotion and use the right notes at the right times. This was a tribute to Dolly Parton so she did a wonderful blend of Dolly's and Whitney's versions. Love your reactions! You have a new subscriber in me! Can't wait for more Kelly reactions!

@@toby9999 If you're talking about Whitney, her version wasn't the original. Dolly Parton wrote and recorded the original. Kelly is my favorite singer, but music is all a matter of personal opinion. To each their own.

@@toby9999 Not sure which you think the original is, but the original version is from Dolly Parton. She wrote it when she and her manager parted ways. Kelly’s version here seems to be somewhere in between Dolly’s and Whitney’s cover of it.

This was a tribute to Dolly Parton who actually wrote it and sang it 1st. Who was on side stage crying then she turned it back into Whitney w a kelly twist.

I sometimes forget what an awesome singer you are until you just casually bust in with an absolutely gorgeous note to show us what you’re referring to. Damn, you can sing!!

The “restraint” shown from our girl Faith throughout this video is admirable & phenomenal (not to mention hilarious 😆😆😆). I’m surprised that Kelly wasn’t threatened with serious physical damage with a nearby object … In vintage Faith style, to show how much she loved it ☝️😂

She did a phenomenal job with this song. She honored Dolly with the tender, bittersweet style, yet soared with Whitney's power on the choruses. I've cried every time I listen to this version of it. Astounding...

That performance was the same day here divorce was finalized so there was a lot of pain behind this performance… I love her and she has a beautiful voice

She did wouldn’t be surprised if Whitney listened to Dolly’s version before putting her spin on it and I’m sure Kelly listened to both to make her own

you need to check out The Dance at the kennedy honors when she covered it for garth brooks right there with him in the audience. it moves the earth.

I was sooooooooo worried you wouldn't like it cuz this was a tribute to Dolly Parton who wrote this song many many years ago and sang a softer, gentler version of the song. Kelly really blended Whitney's version, Dolly's version, and her own take on it. I've watched several reactions where the person didn't understand the purpose of Kelly's performance and were disappointed she didn't belt it like Whitney. I'm SUPER happy you loved the performance and seemed to respect her showing restraint 😊😊😊

I'm sure you know that Dolly Parton wrote this song (and made a LOT of money off Whitney's number one hit). Kelly's performance was at a tribute to Dolly Parton, and Kelly said she wanted to mix Dolly's version and Whitney's version and add her own touch to it. Then, while she was waiting backstage, she got an email that her divorce was final. She read the email and went on stage to do that performance. Love your reactions.

Glennis Grace is amazing on Whitney songs but please remember this was a tribute to Dolly Parton who originally wrote and performed this song and took it to number 1 not once but 2 times before Whitney was even popular.

I’ve heard the song performed by “countless” numbers of artists but Glennis has proven herself to be the best I’ve seen when it comes to “all things Whitney”. I even got to see her perform it live in concert in the Netherlands back in 2019 & to say it was mind blowing is an understatement. She nailed it, note-for-note so well that I honestly thought it was Whitney herself on stage (long may Whitney rest in peace) ✊️😔🕊

Look up Dolly Parton I will always love you• listen to the original Dolly wrote this in the 60’s I think the older one. Dolly even sings it different now. The meaning Dolly had wrote this it is not a IN love song it was wrote for her boss when she was on some show she was ready to go on her own and he didn’t want her to. So, she went home wrote this in one night and sang it to him to show her appreciation for getting her started and she will always love him for that.
