I don't know if you've heard it yet, but she covered "The Dance" by Garth Brooks in a tribute show to him. She had told Garth that she listened to that song during all the divorce mess to help her deal with it. She did amazing.

Kelly is amazing!

This usually always is known as Whitney’s song. But the initial reasoning and meaning of why Dolly wrote this song is so personal and emotional. Whitney was a powerhouse with the song, Dolly sang it from her emotions with her experience and Kelly did great mixing the two, and like you said having been going through the end of her marriage I’m sure took it to that emotional place for her like Dolly (although for Dolly she wrote it bc she was leaving her manager).

I think you’d appreciate her songs Sober, or Maybe. Two of her best, most deep songs IMO.

I saw Dolly in an interview...she said she made and took alot of money to the bank when she wrote and sang 'I will always love you....but when Whitney Houston was given access to the song, Dolly said "when I done the song I 'made bank' but when Whitney done it "I bought the bank"!!!
