He sounds pretty good to me. I think it’s unfair to expect him to sound exactly like his father. Some of these comments, it says that people think he should sound exactly like his dad. Just enjoy his voice, and the beautiful tribute to his dad. Keith Whitley had a unique voice. But his sons voice, no obviously not the same, is still wonderful to listen to. I’d much rather listen to this than 90% of the country songs released in the last 10 years or so.

I'm a big Keith fan. My daughter just turned 2 and she has asked me to play kentucky Bluebird for the last 6 months almost daily. That's my favorite song and hers as well.

He was and still is my favorite; I was in my first year of college at Oklahoma State and he was booked at Tumbleweeds the week after school was done, that was May of 89. Not an easy feat, especially knowing there had to have been a lot of emotion and no small amount of "here's to you, Dad." All in all, I think Keith's legacy is alive and very well in the hands of his son. Well done and God's blessings, Jesse!
