sometimes i wonder why i put up with coventry city over the years, but this video right here makes me realise why i love this club. City Till' I Die.

As a Liverpool fan, this is better than gerrard's cup final goal, no question in my view, as it captures every hint of magic about the fa cup. Top top diving header. great goal!

Absolutely. His contribution to the FA CUP win was immense; scored 5 goals, including the 2nd goal in the semi, and contributed to the 1st goal at Wembley too with his flick on.

Don’t see many diving header goals in today’s game. Used to be great seeing them and risking it for their team.

This was a great cup final probably the last great cup final before money started to ruin the game.....

United v Palace in 1990 would stand up against 87. Also Forest v Spurs in 1991 was a great game even if I didn't like the outcome. Granted there's been precious little excitement since.

Greatest FA Cup ever!

Houchen didn't score too many goals at Coventry, but he was brilliant throughout the cup run with 5 invaluable goals along the way to final victory. This is one of the greatest goals ever, Bennett's cross and Houchen's dive. Often the dive is made AFTER the headed contact, but the only way Houchen could get to the ball was with a full length dive. Just a pity it didn't win the cup instead of the og later.

I was a neutral but that was a great cup final.....has to be up there with the 1983 2-2 draw between Man U and Brighton and 1989 3-2 Liverpool over Everton.

Some of the team had no sponsors on their shirts that day. The rest had “Holsten” I think. Funny you should mention that because the next year, Liverpool vs Wimbledon, something too went on there with sponsorship on shirts..
