As a Phillies fan, I’ve always enjoyed the fact that it was written that way.

Considering he had never acted or even wanted to be an actor, he did an amazing job. I think maybe he missed his calling.

He did amazing, but he was just playing himself. I don't think he could've played a character that wasn't himself.

@@joemckim1183 We really don't know that until he plays a character that's not himself. But even when people play themselves, they can do a bad job. They can come across as trying too hard or self-conscious or not convincing. But Keith was very naturalistic & was saying his lines, listening, and reacting in the moment. Which is the basis for all good acting.
I’m not driving him to the airport!!!!

Classic.
That two -parter was my introduction to the show, and I had not yet seen "JFK". Yet I still found it hilarious and inventive.
Greatest episode of the show. The second spitter.
I loved this episode and, more importantly, I love Keith Hernandez 💜
My favorite episode of Seinfeld

Really great episode!! He did an amazing job!! 🙌👏👏
Probably top 3 sitcom of all time. Other 2 could be All in the family , the Honeymooners ,
That's one magic loogey!
I'm surprised to hear him tell the story, I thought he did great in that role, but hey he IS Keith Hernandez.
Just watched this ep last night lol
I never knew the McDowell part of it
nice interview, pretty boy
The sad thing is, we may never know the real truth!
I had no idea who Keith Hernandez was when this episode aired. The plotline of the show, what I call the second spitter, it’s absolutely brilliant. I enjoyed Keith‘s performance. I think I thought he was an actor, pretending to be some ball player named Keith Hernandez, it’s only very recently that I’ve come to learn that he is kind of a big deal.
Not that long ago but it still sounds so weird that they calling people on phones and Fedexing scripts. A different era (which i remember well but still hard to believe).

I know it’s crazy isn’t it. Still miss those days even though things are easier now to fo and obtain but it was very different back then
sports royalty right there
When Gary Cohen made his usual "hate the Drake" joke during a game with umpire Rob Drake, R.J. chuckled while Mex was flummoxed. I knew then he probably only watched episodes he was in. Man, I love 17! Get'em into Cooperstown!
It was a hilarious scene

Marsha Mason is a classic.
What a nice guy. He'd be a great guy to meet up with, maybe for a cup of coffee.
He's still so handsome, for a guy I mean 😊
Ahh Season 3:17 The Boyfriend 😎
Hi Martin. How the HELL are ya??!! Great ta see ya, Martin. REAL great ta see ya. I'll take that $500 ye "borrowed" from me now, Martin. Tell me ye hain't got it, and ye best hope ye used it ta buy a casket.
That episode and the masturbation are arguably their best. Costanza and the unemployment.
Lol he didn’t “star” in it…. He had a cameo…
Damn Keith looks old. Aging sucks. This is our fate.

Why should he watch? i didn't until re-runs. Most over-rated show in TV history - really was a show about nothing.
